Thing is, you could use the AK to simply take the iPhone.

I do the deal then immediately rob him with my new gun, by this action he will realize I’m American and we’ll pivot to doing dance videos on tiktok

Yes. That Somali AK is undoubtedly full auto and the gobermint won’t let me buy one commercially because apparently we live in soviet russia… which is where AKs come from.
Don’t hassle me about this.

Somali Gobermint is refreshing AF

Depending on where you are at, might be the safest choice. Bring an extra and make nuco the deal includes the bullets.

The way I see it is youre not getting past the airport with an AK. So an iphone for renting an AK isnt a good deal

You can ship it to yourself quite easily if you follow customs regs.
Easier if you sneak it in with cargo that just gets tossed on a truck as soon as it comes in. That’s cheaper but riskier though.

An iPhone for your life is a good deal in my book. Ah sucks I’m feeling generous today, why not both.
Ulvain@sh.itjust.works 1 month ago
That’s a great deal - most people would agree to trade their phone for a single bullet

Is rounded corner still a thing? Despite bad usability and worse repairability?
BrickEater@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Sadly yes

That’s some trigger discipline even on the magazine.

That’s a samsung
MasterNerd@lemmy.zip 1 month ago
That’s his phone, not the phone he’s trading for. Idk why he needs another phone but there are plenty of possible reasons
LH0ezVT@sh.itjust.works 1 month ago
I mean, if he had an iPhone, he wouldn’t meet to barter for one, right?

Fun fact about Somaliland: despite it not being recognized by most of the world (Israel kinda does but only because they wanted to do shit opposite Yemen) and being seen as a “breakaway state”, it’s actually richer, more stable, safer, and more developed than the Country it broke away from: Somalia.

I’ve got no data to prove or disprove this gut feeling of mine, but aren’t most separatist movements motivated like this?
lyralycan@sh.itjust.works 1 month ago
Abbiistabbii reminding us that the things the governments tell us about anti-state movements (like the idea that without their government there is no law or morals) aren’t exactly true, they’re only a biased perspective from those scared of losing power over the public. Fwiw I don’t think any group is ‘bad’ just because they got together and separated from state control, I think it’s great that can still happen.
Agent641@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Motivated by it, yes, often. Successful at it? Rarely.
