Diogenes did partake in IRL shitposting. With literal shit. No idea whether any actual posts were involved, he did occasionally do his business (and other things) on market square. Maybe he was the original shitposter. Maybe not. But he also was quite a wanker. (Remember the other things he did on market square? That’s it.)
