You know being born into wealth isn’t a great deal either. Does Musk seem happy to you? Or any of the other ghouls in that orbit?
There is plenty of evidence that large amounts of wealth has a similar effect on the owner as brain damage.
No, you don’t want that. Having enough to be comfortable is good, but wealth is not.

Fun fact: In traditional Buddhist lore, women can’t reach Nirvana.
Instead, if they collect enough good karma, they are reborn as a man.

I’d guess that in most of the cultures globally regrettably it is still more desirable to be a man. And when men feel that way I am always confused. Do they think their mother, their wife, or their daughters are second class citizens?

Yes. Yes, they do think that.
To expand on this, many seem to either not realize it or not accept that’s what they’re doing.
“I respect women, but I believe we must have entirely separate roles.”
“I respect women, but their place is in the home.”
“I respect women. I even believe they’re superior in fields like childcare, cleaning and cooking.”
“I respect women, even though they’re not as good at STEM tasks.”

I’ve never understood that either. I’ve usually hated when I’m perceived as a man.

Men cant reach Nirvana either. If you’re on your best behavior you will be reborn as a cat.
superkret@feddit.org 10 months ago
That’s what reaching Nirvana is.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn
that’s… wow
FauxLiving@lemmy.world 10 months ago
Keep that up and you’ll be reborn as a muskrat

IIRC Nirvana is more like void instead of heaven. So I’m not sure is it good or bad even if they consider men are closer to that.
