Really it’s the celebrities more than others. What’s really inexcusable is that so many Democratic politicians still have accounts - AOC, Bernie, the whole gang is still there.

Unfortunately it is not that simple. Abandoning it after everyone already started using it would mean that the current users would all be left in a far-right bubble potentially not even realising it or realising too late. Its exactly what Elon wants.

And yet BrandonT4546 will no doubt continue to use X, keep calling it “Twitter” to himself, and complain about how “cooked” it is without ever looking for an alternative.

X is blocked here. What’s at this link?
PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 5 weeks ago
Just his account showing that he’s still using X almost every day

“Look at the racist things I saw down at the Klan rally!”
No shit. Why are you sharing it?

If you’re on twitter you hold less value as a person

Consider adding content warning for slurs

So given this example, does
TwitterXXxX_DOGE42069_XxX.com censor posts about soup?

Why do we have to trawl through the bottom of Xitter?
I thought that we all left them behind to come here so we could get on with making a better global community.

We’re treating twitter like a toxic ex partner: we don want to know anything about them but we deep down do want to.

Everybody likes watching a good train wreck

Up voted… But. Pointing out the absurdity is valuable for new users.
