Fuck me. Reminds me of dad’s old friend with a giant marijuana leaf painted on his van. Dude was dumbfounded as to why he kept getting pulled over.

Aren’t there certain circumstances where you are suppose to write “in transit” on a vehicle? Like it is being towed somewhere without registration?
I seem to recall seeing something like that when a dealer or shop was moving vehicles elsewhere.

Vehicles without reg can be towed legally as long as the towing vehicle is up to date… at least if it’s on a trailer or 2-wheel tow dolly, and depending on state. Writing “in tow” on it is a common thing to do if they’re being flat towed (aka not on a trailer but via a cable or tow bar) but there is no legal protection provided by it; since the vehicle is entirely on the ground it needs registration basically everywhere AFAIK.
Dealers and some mechanics shops get assigned dealer plates that they can affix magnetically to any car to indicate ownership for transport or test drives.

I think it was “in tow” I saw in second thought.

Javelin through the rear window. Not a crime becuase the Entropyetor is not a public registrar or capable of accepting facilitations while in non-vertical-conveyance.

If he does want to be recognized as a SovCit, he could just have written “I’m terminally stupid” there.

Gonna get pulled over for being “in tranzit” when the technical term is “in transit”

They used the wrong magic word 🚓👮♂️👮♀️
robocall@lemmy.world 11 months ago
The technicalities are incredibly important. If you mess up one word, they can get you. Learn from this person’s mistakes.

He misspelled the magic word that grants immunity from laws. Also his license plate has the wrong color border to supercede State Troopers authority over his vehicle.
