LOL, donât know what it is for a Monday, but it must hot dad day in the Ikea service area. đ
But Iâm not AT Ikea today?!?
OhâŠ
Haha, are you sure? I mean they were everywhere after that.
Kind of like punch buggy after I left. đ
Is it OK to drink the water in New Zealand because I once drank the âisland waterâ on Hamilton Island and I was very crook that night.
Totally fine!
Wonderful thank you.
Urban areas are fine. There should be signs indicating you canât drink tap water if you go rural. Afaik
None of the parcels have arrived or really been updated. The 3 I ordered from Kmart nearly a fortnight ago, are still sitting as âin transitâ in my suburb, and have been since Tuesday. The one from NBN Sydney I think got confused when I redirected it. Express posted from Sydney, arrived in Melbourne like 15 hours later, then sat around as âheld at facility - in transit redirectâ at the LPO in the suburb of the new house for 3 days, then got sent to Dandenong South, then from Dandenong South to sunshine yesterday, and hasnât moved as yet
The 3 from China were attempted delivery on Friday, but apparently Amjad from the mad cow Express tried to deliver it for the 1 hour I was out on Friday with the gate shut, so took it back to âMEL_DC-01â. There was also a sneaky last parcel I got off eBay, it was specifically marked Australian stock, shipping from wheelers Hill. Wheelers Hill my fucking arse. Itâs been a week without the tracking marking it received by the post office. 100% a dropship from China
(I know that seems like a lot of parcels, but the 3 Kmarts were all from the same order but they decided to ship everything individually from different stores. The 3 AliExpress ones were for a project, but all sent individually. And the NBN one was a connection device replacement, so I didnât pay for it. The eBay was for the same project cause I couldnât find a trustworthy seller on AliExpress)
Christmas parcel rampup. Everything is being flung from sorting centre to sorting centre as they try and load balance the volume
Dandy is running 24hrs at present. Sunshine isnât, but is on all 7 days. âSomewhere elseâ tried banning the staff from having zooper doopers in the heat last week. They can fuck right off.
Crikey. Even my primary school saw the merits in Zooper doopers on hot days (that is selling them at the canteen for 65 cents on hot days only)!
Question: my new house has bayonet lightbulb fittings. That much I know. I canât work out if theyâre B22 or B15s though, and neither the bulb or fitting seem to say
Itâs probably a B22 being connected to the mains, and mounted in the roof, right? B15s are almost exclusively lamp fittings, I think? Safe assumption to make?
Theyâll be B22.
Cheers
Ok maybe I retract my de-shitlisting of BoM. I tried to verify my ID again online, and apparently they couldnât verify it so now Iâve lost the privilege, theyâve flagged my account, and I have to go into a branch
Oh, also, somebody decided to close nearly every fucking BoM branch in the country, including the one that wouldâve been my local. So cheers for that boys
Oh! Bank of Melbourne. Hereâs me wondering what your beef was with the Bureau of Meteorology! đ
Banks are awful. Constantly closing branches all while making record profits. It doesnât help that ID has to be verified in person at a bank
So hard to get to one and if youâre working full time good luck on that.
TIL I should not have hay fever tablets any time after 8 at night because đ«„
Really? What happens?
đđđ cannot sleep because Iâm wired
Sunlight and physical activity is supposed to fix my sleeping pattern đ What gives?
Iâm doing some washing hoping the neighbours donât hear it and sweeping the carpet. Itâs harder than the vacuum but a lot quieter. Then tomorrow I can possibly go over for any finer dust that got missed.
Then once again I confront the kitchen⊠Iâm tempted to just order that bench top dishwasher straight to my house right now but afraid it might get stolen.
If youâve got the finances to, I say absolutely go for it and buy that benchtop dishwasher. Someone yesterday suggested appliances online, and thatâs actually who my dryer is coming through. According to their policies, they require your ID and card (or at least an ID with the same name as on the card) to be presented before theyâll deliver it, and they wonât leave it. Oh, also, you get to choose a specific delivery day at no cost, so you could line it up for the next day youâre at home. (I think they also said theyâll call you with a few hours timeslot on the day of the delivery, so although you donât get to choose and canât plan around it, you wouldnât necessarily have to be home the whole day)
Unless youâre worried about somebody breaking in and stealing it. That I cant help with, unless your landlord wouldnât get shitty at you for bolting it onto the bench with some kind of anti theft system thatâd probably cost the same price as the dishwasher
Ah yeah I still need to sort new id.
Iâm sure given the chance some would. But Iâm mainly thinking porch pirates
Binged Black Doves on Netflix over 2 nights. Was pretty good.
Scrocci, worst name for biscuits ever.
Sounds like a movie

Itâs half embarrassing, half makes you feel itchy in oneâs lady or gentleman parts, half makes you laugh.
