Like the scent of freshly cut grass, until you realize they produce it as a call of distress.

“I love the scent of freshly cut grass. Reminds me of the smell of napalm in the morning.”

And that just makes it better!

I think this is actually wholesome haha. Well, maybe not the Twitter handle. But like, yeah.
ExtremeDullard@lemmy.sdf.org 1 month ago
Wholesome, yes. But the magic and the poetry is immediately spoiled by the poster’s username.

I think it adds a certain ju ne sa qua something

But aren’t well all connected by our inevitable destiny to pee? Maybe the real poetry was in their username this whole time.

Same! Another classic is
“it’s okay to be uncontrollably emotional today and to barely be able to order my coffee without bursting into tears”modifier@lemmy.ca 1 month ago
I hate to be that guy, but the next link down on my feed is about Israel branding the foreheads of Palestinian prisoners.
So humanity is really no great shakes, but the trees do look beautiful.

My nostalgia for the little things in nature are honestly one of the most meaningful things in my life, and often something as simple as the sound of leaves quietly rattling across the ground on a damp autumn night evokes a deeply spiritual feeling.

I love… lamp
Onionguy@lemm.ee 1 month ago
But do you really love lamp or are you just naming things?

Not just the scent of rain, I love the sound of rain. The tapping on the windows. The pitter patter on the roof. The splashing as it forms puddles in my flowerbeds.
I love the feeling of rain. The way it immediately cools the air around me. The way it falls on my head. I could pass on the wet socks, though.
I love the sight of rain. The way it darkens the world a little. The way colors pop when the sun comes back out. The way the flowers are always just a little brighter for having had a quick soak.
There is basically nothing for me not to love about the rain.

You would be fun to trip with

Except how folks in Atlanta drive in it… Rain is like moron-fuel on our roads.
