Civ VI is pretty cheap right now, grabbing it at the moment for 3€, but that might change from region to region.
The dlcs packs are pretty cheap too.

does it work on linux/proton?
Has native Linux support, but if you are playing with friends or other online multiplayer I would recommend the proton version as sometimes updates lag behind.
Native support. 👍 I haven’t played it yet, but at this price I’ll give it a try.
It is supported, but some of the DLCs aren’t 🤦♀️
me toooo. thanks!
In my experience it runs much smoother on proton than the native version
Make sure you don’t already have this from a Humble Bundle a little while back.
The problem with 6 is that the play mode is too structured… Especially early on. Theres not much room for custom play… Every game takes on the same form. Civ 4 was the best in series
Was free on Epic at some point so check if you already have it if you are someone who claims the free games there
Are the dlcs worth getting? I only have Rise and Fall. With the current bundle, I could snag the rest of them, for the price of New Frontiers alone. I can’t really say i’m huge into Civ, or knowledgeable about individual leaders though
The two big expansion packs absolutely. Leader and civ packs are up to you.
Ended up buying everything. Comes down to 19 Euro for just about everything, minus the game, and the dlc i already owned, so if I end up playing with friends, it’s not a bad deal at all
Simon bolivar is broken
$2.99 through June 21 in my shop in the US
Civ6 was buggy as hell on Switch. Anyone know if it’s stable on PC?
I want the hours I played back before it corrupted my game save, so $3 is still be too much to ask, to me.
Don’t mind if I do.

Personally I found 6 to not be as fun as 5. I still play 5 all the time but I lost interest with 6 after less than 100 hours.

If you haven’t already tried the DLCs, you should. AI gets very improved and the behaviour is much more normal and humanlike.

Sure. I might as well with this good of a sale.

There are things I like and dislike about both, but the district mechanic is something I find hard to live without.

Can you really judge a game that you haven’t even played through once?

If the writing is bad, it’s okay to close the book.
If the acting is poor, it’s okay to leave the cinema.
If the gameplay is unsatisfying, it’s okay to quit.
Life is short. No sense in wasting it on entertainment that isn’t entertaining.

I have done at least one full playthroughs of Civ 6 from ancient era until somebody scored a victory. I did a couple other playthroughs that I ended early. Ultimately I just felt like the whole time I wanted to play Civ 5 more
