- Comment on What MMORPG are you playing, and why? 12 hours ago:
Guildwars has been my choice for quite a while now. I enjoy most things about it, and it doesn’t feel like a job either. I can do my things, take a break, come back and still have fun. Plus all the cash shop items can be bought with in-game gold, which i do regularly.
Apart from that, I still really like ESO, in theory, but Zenimax continue showing incompetence and greed, so the interest there is decreasing fast. And that’s a shame
- Comment on Dauntless Devs Apologize for Awakening Update, Promise "Immediate Adjustments" 3 days ago:
It’s essentially a MonsterHunter clone, originally revealed 7 years ago, but based on what I’m hearing, since then it’s been riddled with horrible mismanagement issues, and players lost the vast majority of their earned items, for them to return as mtx later
- Comment on Zenimax Online Studios workers unionise 1 week ago:
This is excellent news.
I doubt much of anything will change for ESO itself, but happier workers are the real goal
- Comment on Witchfire - The Brewing Update Preview 1 week ago:
I’d really love to play this game eventually. Looks really cool, and a couple of my friends were quite impressed by it
- Comment on Funko, BrandShield speak out about itch.io takedown 1 week ago:
A corpo bully pointing fingers at some AI slop they use, how convenient
- Comment on Moonlighter 2 World Exclusive Reveal Trailer 2 weeks ago:
I keep meaning to play the first one, it’s always looked pretty interesting to me. This looks pretty exciting for a trailer too
- Comment on Ubisoft's XDefiant Will be Shutting Down in June 2025 2 weeks ago:
Ubisoft are genuinely speedrunning their way towards a shutdown and a buyout
- Comment on Intel Arc B580 'Battlemage' GPU announced - 1440p Ultra gaming for $249 2 weeks ago:
The A580 launched at 175$+tax. We are not talking about the same card
- Comment on Intel Arc B580 'Battlemage' GPU announced - 1440p Ultra gaming for $249 2 weeks ago:
Hopefully it will bring some decent generational improvements. The only thing i’m not a huge fan of is the 45% price increase over lasts gen, which isn’t even putting used or discounted cards into consideration
- Comment on Elden Ring 2 Not Happening Any Time Soon, Says FromSoftware 2 weeks ago:
That shouldn’t really be news to anyone. They’ve stretched themselves almost too thin with the scale of Elden Ring, and it’s a miracle, that it’s turned out this damn good.
But even besides that, I’d always take a well put together game every 5 years, than some uninspired yearly slop. Good games are still art
- Comment on Got 20 euro, what game/games to get on steam autunm sale? 2 weeks ago:
If you’re into older rpgs, i would wholeheartedly recommend the Gothic trilogy. Will fit just under 5$, but they’re absolutely insane value for the money. With that you’ll also get Archolos for free, which has blown all expectations away entirely. This mod ended up being better than a lot of big-budget titles I’ve played, and they’ve done it all out of pocket
- Comment on Bloomberg: Sony Interactive Entertainment working on portable PS5 3 weeks ago:
I can’t really say I’m super excited.
Back in the days, you bought a PSP, and you got a shitload of exclusive games, with an occasional fan-favorite port. It was incredible value, especially for a handheld. Today, unless you’re a Playstation gamer specifically, getting the console isn’t even worth it. Knowing Sony, they will introduce a proprietary storage format yet again too.
Buying multiple licenses for the same game, across different platform is annoying as well. That’s one of the reasons why the Deck is so massively successful
- Comment on Why isn't Putin receiving the same level of hate than people like Trump and Elon are? 4 weeks ago:
This is the correct answer. Putin has been almost universally hated, even within Russia, for years.
Everyone knows of his election fraud, and the assassinations of political opponents, let alone changing the law in his favor.
It’s just hard for people to have a strong response to what he does, because he spends the vast majority of his time controlling his meat puppets in silence. Meanwhile, both Trump and Musk yap their face off on every occasion

The absence of self-awareness there is astounding
- Comment on Windows 7 and 8 now dead for gaming, as new Steam update pulls support 5 weeks ago:
This is one of the things, that’s not only a colossal amount of effort to maintain, but also a colossal waste of money. Backporting security is expensive. Backporting features to an old is is even more costly. With the W7 platform shrinking into obscurity, it just doesn’t make sense
- Comment on Skyrim Is 13 Years Old, But Elder Scrolls 6 Is Nowhere in Sight While Bethesda’s First Four Games Took Only 12 Years 5 weeks ago:
This is, more than likely, exactly what will end up happening.
They know Creation Engine is not fit for the task. They know the writing is stale and uninspired. They know that it’ll more than likely be aimed towards mainstream success, rather than being a good rpg, making it even more simplified.
I really hope i’m wrong, but I’m not holding my breath for TES6 anymore
- Comment on Life Is Strange: Double Exposure's Cat DLC Is, In Fact, The Worst 5 weeks ago:
I really cant wait to get Space Age. All the new content looks really dope
- Comment on Life Is Strange: Double Exposure's Cat DLC Is, In Fact, The Worst 5 weeks ago:
That is objectively a false statement.
Phantom Liberty is an expansion. Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion. Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles are expansions. Echoes of the Eye is an expansion. Bad Company: Vietnam is an expansion. All of these amount to a third, to a half of the total game content. We used to buy them, and will continue buying them, because they add absolutely insane value to what you already really liked.
“Exclusive cat content” that can only be obtained through a 30$ upgrade, and includes 3 new costumes, and whatever the hell cat content is, is dlc. This adds nothing of value for us, but lines the pockets of the studio shareholders quite substantially.
Just because the large players in the industry are complicit, it doesn’t change history, and certainly it doesn’t change the vocabulary.
- Comment on Life Is Strange: Double Exposure's Cat DLC Is, In Fact, The Worst 5 weeks ago:
I hated it back then too. I refused to buy it, until they released the full thing
- Comment on Warcraft II: Remastered internal alpha spotted, hinting at an announcement soon – WGB 5 weeks ago:
If they block access to the originals, and also release the remaster in a miserable state, like what happened with 3R, they can keep it

I miss when we were able to have a single price tag, pay the price, and get a complete game, at launch date
- Comment on do you think lemmy will ever be popular? 1 month ago:
I don’t want it to be popular. I want to have a good conversation, in the communities i choose to participate in, and that’s exactly what I found
- Comment on What do you like/dislike about lemmy? 1 month ago:
A few front-end do, yeah. I’m talking about native support
- Comment on What do you like/dislike about lemmy? 1 month ago:
I genuinely cannot express how much it annoys me that I cannot have a blocklist for keywords.
Most of the things I read are from my subscribed communities, which i’m very happy about generally, however given the overall state of life today, half of the posts in completely unrelated communities end up being one of the following:
- Twitter CEO
- Hate speech in US politics
- AI propaganda for some pump and dump quick money
I really just don’t want to see any of those things
- Comment on Path of Exile 2 is getting delayed again, but only for 3 weeks | Digital Trends 1 month ago:
I’d always take a release that’s done right, over something rushed, broken, and something that will leave a poor first impression.
- Comment on What's the point of a long-distance friendship? 1 month ago:
Some of my closest friendships are people I’ve either never seen, or only got to meet a couple times. It’s not like living far away makes them worse friends.
You never know what kind of situation you’ll end up in. One time my transfer flights got messed up, and I was left stranded in a random airport for almost a day. I ended up asking around, and one of those long-distance friends drove hours to pick me up, get me some food, and let me get rest too.
Of course I’d love for them to live closer, so we can see each other regularly, but i’ll take what I can have

- Comment on Why are people impressed with SpaceX? 2 months ago:
I hate Elon just as much as the next guy, but pretending that this wasn’t a marvel of engineering is really disingenuous. People with intelligence beyond my comprehension made that a reality, and just because the company had his face on it, it doesn’t make it any less impressive
- Comment on This means I close the tab, regardless of what is on the site. 2 months ago:

- Comment on Until Dawn's PS5 debut 28% weaker than Sony’s 2024 disaster Concord 2 months ago:
With games like Metaphor, or the ocean of brilliant indie games out there, selling a 70€ objectively downgraded remaster is an insult at best
