You obviously haven’t been looking at many burkinis. They’re designed for Muslim women who are stricter in following the Quran. There’s no fucking way that they are designed for showing off a woman’s figure prominently.
I don’t think they do. I’m pretty sure they can buy any kind of bathing suit they want. Last time I went to Target they had all different types of bathing suits on display lol
turns out if you crop out all the stuff that disproves your claim you only get stuff that proves you right.
shame.
Dude, it shows a totally acceptable one piece bathing suit right there as the first option lol did you want people to start wearing burqas to the beach?
Men are expected to go naked from the waste up. And as a gay man I can say that’s quite sexy sometimes. Should we not consider that skimpy?
I’d say that changed quite a bit by the end of the 90s. But maybe not everywhere?
Right, just as women’s did. So are the bathing suits for women really skimpy or are these sexist ideas?
aquamodesta.com www.splashgearusa.com Are some options for people who don’t want clothing that is skintight and revealing. I’ve very occasionally seen brands like this at box stores. But the vast majority of time if you want something that isn’t skin tight you have to get shorts designed for men and some sort of sports top with a shirt. Yes. Baggy clothing isn’t optimal for swimming, and trunks will tend to stick awkwardly anyway, but a lot of guys would feel uncomfortable if speedoes were the only option. I know I would. It’s a double standard plain and simple.
Yes, I’m commenting on the standard, not attacking you.
I don’t hear about boys having problems with average to baggy shorts. To find anything smaller than average shorts, you have to actively look for it, and run into places that plain don’t carry that.
ddg shopping search for “women’s swimsuits”
maybe one of them match your description. not a stupid question maybe but you are just wrong.
Maybe supply and demand? Woman buy smaller and smaller bikinis so they sell them smaller.
OP is a troll, possibly misogynistic. women are allowed to wear what they want. report, block and move on.
When did I say woman aren’t allowed to wear what they want? Oh yeah I didn’t.
You miss bot my friend 😂
there are one pieces that even have skirts. how unskimpy can they be? men don't have chest covered options no more.
Burka
I guess that would work. In most countries, I’d guess that normal shorts and a T-shirt would be easier.
You’re shopp in the wrong places. There are plenty of options

They don’t? Have you heard of one piece suits or board shorts and a swim shirt.

Swim shorts and tank are so easy! You can swim, or walk along the beach and you’re covered enough to stop in a beach bar and dry enough to get in your car.

A one piece suit is still very form fitting and skimpy.
How often do you consider what your crotch and butt folds look like when getting dressed?
slazer2au@lemmy.world 5 months ago
There are one piece that come with attached shorts.

I think this is a fair point. People keep talking about skirts and things but the reality is if you go to a store, 98% of the bathing suits will be like this.
That being said, in a lot of the world, men’s bathing suits are like that too. So it’s sort of an American dilemma
