Not because doctors are automatically guys, but greentexters often are.
Maybe this doctor could prescribe herself some E? I don’t know. I’m not allowed to practice medicine.

Sometimes I reply to my own comments if I have something more to add. I do this in verbal conversation as well, a technique called “say more stuff, provide context, finish making the point.”
It just feels more natural than editing.
