It seems like it really caught on with the Instagram demographic, since they auto enrolled you into threads if you have an IG.

I was trying so hard to figure out why these tweets look weird, thinking maybe they were just fake tweets… Turns out these are “threads” from Threads and that’s why they look weird, but ngl, I genuinely did not know anyone used Threads.

Instagram (and presumably other meta apps) push threads, you can accidentally sign up and be sent to download the app vv easily if you aren’t paying attention.
The ads for it are integrated better than ads.
