Well yes, because of US interference.

EU is just on a slower path to fascism.

Innocent Europeans would NEVER do a fascism without a wicked Other forcing them to do it!

Girls, girls. You’re all pretty. It’s capitalists who are dragging the whole world towards fascism, don’t get it twisted with nationality

Didn’t y’all invent it?
SethTaylor@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Yea we did
I swear to god the US is simply incapable of original ideas. Fascism? Stole it from us. Nuclear bombs? European scientists. Absolutely destroying native populations? Uhm, hello? WE literally did that. Like… that’s why you even exist today. You’re WELCOME /sarcasm

Tried it out too. That’s why I hope it won’t be a full roll over.

Well, US interference is so blatant and obnoxious that is actually counterproductive. Trump getting elected stopped a few far right movements, and others lost momentum.
Paying 2000 people in St petersburg to shit post non stop about immigration, works. Sending vance to deliver a speech, doesn’t.
PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Or Elon Musk the basement dweller chud who is constantly shit posting on his pro pedo social media website and funding for far right parties in Europe certainly isn’t helping either.
DmMacniel@feddit.org 1 month ago
Not if we stop the fash parties.
MrKoyun@lemmy.world 1 month ago
You’re probably not gonna stop the facists.
DmMacniel@feddit.org 1 month ago
I didn’t used the royal we.
SethTaylor@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Nah, tbh I was shitting my pants a year ago but most far-right parties have plateaued or reversed in the polls recently. I think we just might have too few morons to turn far-right. Juuuuuust might.

The entire political spectrum has moved considerably right, with “Fortress Europe” talk and blatant admissions that human rights aren’t something we should care about.
There is no hard divide between conservatives and the far right.

America bravely jumped in front of the bus for you, you are welcome.
TORFdot0@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Slower path? They are waiting to reboot their original fascism.
