      What? That’s not at all what that article describes.

      That’s talking about using federal lands to build towns. Towns with very odd and selected features, but I don’t see anything even vaguely like a hive city in there.

      Don’t get me wrong still terrible, just for other reasons

    I think maybe ‘irony poisoning’ is overhyped and we should talk more about cynicism poisoning. So, so much rhetoric on lemmy and reddit only makes sense through the lens of the most cynical theory of mind possible. An opportunity for malfeasance existing is assumed to be proof of malfeasance.

    I actually believe that >90% of people are evil for all intents and purposes and I still think the rhetoric needs to chill.
