- Comment on Is Hollow Knight Silksong's 'cheap' price a problem for other indie games? Devs and publishers weigh up its impact | Eurogamer 3 hours ago:
There are a few good YouTube channels that regularly show great indie games I otherwise never would have heard of. One I can think of off the top of my head is splattercatgaming

The best I can imagine would be a pc rendering a game which is streamed to a steam deck
I think you can already do this

It’s actually really easy to add an nvme drive. That’s more costs though, obv

As good as PS5 for $200? Yeah, no.

Nah fuck that.
- Comment on Who are the "middle class" supposed to support in the class stuggle? 2 days ago:
The only real struggle there is between the upper class and everyone else. The concept of the middle class doesn’t really do anything but divide workers.

Sounds to me like petite bourgeoise
- Comment on A live-action Call of Duty film is on the way 2 days ago:
I really enjoyed Call of Duty 4 (“World at War,” right?) back when it was originally released. It was so much more cinematic than Medal of Honor
- Comment on Anon eats Italian 3 days ago:
I ate dinner at a friend’s house way back when I was in middle school (not like overtly Italian, pretty WASP-y), and his parents made spaghetti and meatballs, and the meatballs were about this size. I remember the meal being pretty delicious though.
Why the fuck do I even remember this bullshit?
- Comment on Who could have predicted this? 3 days ago:
It’s gotten wayyyy better in that regard though. It’s more a matter of what people are used to and being resistant to change, than actual tech savvy-ness.

- Comment on Team Cherry - Hollow Knight: Silksong will be $20 USD 3 days ago:
Lower price does not automatically equate to less profits.
Lower price means more sales.
Things have an optimal market price at which they’d make the most profit, and it’s possible they did some calculations and decided $20 was it for this game.
- Comment on Team Cherry - Hollow Knight: Silksong will be $20 USD 3 days ago:
I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t think Hollow Knight was anything special.
Not a bad game by any means, but it’s kind of just a decent metroidvania with a cool art style. I’ve never understood the insane amount of hype.

Cannabis helps me stop caring that I’m not doing the thing(s) I should be doing but can’t get started on.
Whether that’s a good or bad thing will be left as an exercise for the reader.

It doesn’t really seem like there’s any “secret sauce” there. What’s to stop someone who knows more about development from making a better version?

- Comment on The sheer amount of websites that are completely unusable without JavaScript 6 days ago:
Said it on a top-level comment as well, but I use “medium mode” on uBlock (weirdly not advertised, but easy enough to enable: github.com/gorhill/…/Blocking-mode:-medium-mode). I’ve found it to be a good middle ground between expert mode which is basically noscript, and rawdogging it.
If I encounter a site that I can’t visit unless I enable JS, then I leave.

I use uBlock medium mode, and if I can’t get a website to work without having to enable JavaScript, then I just leave the website.

You say this is “unscientific garbage” when your only alternative explanation is "everything just happened randomly and here we are
What an absolutely absurd misstatement about what evolution is.
Intelligent Design, literally does not fit the criteria to be considered a scientific theory.
