Do you mean there is slavery and segregation still going on on the us?
This wasn’t the point I was making, but yes actually. Regardless of how you restrict your definitions, slavery still exists in the US under the thirteenth amendment as a form of punishment, and our prisons are full of them.
And yes, segregated schools (and even things like “segregated proms” within supposedly-integrated schools) still exist.
The study found that minority students became more isolated and less exposed to whites within a school although districts were statistically more integrated.[44] Another 2013 study found that segregation measures increased over the previous 25 years due to changing demographics.[29] The study did not find an increase in racial balance. Racial unequality remained stable.
[…]
A 2013 study corroborated these findings, showing that the relationship between residential and school segregation became stronger between 2000 and 2010. In 2000, segregation of black people in schools was lower than in their neighborhoods; by 2010, the two patterns of segregation were “nearly identical”.[46]

And even still, they’re openly moving to bring it back more widely: cnn.com/…/louisiana-justice-department-desegregat…

That said, what I was referring to was the lingering effects that are very real, even if they are not immediately evident to an outside viewer. I could tell you’re not from here, because if you were, you’d understand what I’m talking about.

What is stopping a human from gaining a reputation with a signature, and then selling it (a la reddit accounts)?

But so it’s gender, so this isn’t really a good argument is it?
- Comment on What's the best way to respond to someone who says "transracial is just as valid as transgender"? 1 day ago:
This reeks of, “I don’t see color,” which is bullshit racists say to justify ignoring the plights of people of color in the US.
We need to see color if we ever want to possibly attempt to correct the deep, systemic problems we have with racism.
Also US race concepts are kind of weird in general. I suppose the history of slavery and segregation did a number on people’s perception of race.
There is no “did” here, it’s ongoing.

I think the hardness of the water might also play a role… At least I know that it feels way different to dry off after a shower in soft water vs. hard.

Even without the Steam Deck, Steam Input allows basically any PC game to be playable on controller (or like, literally anything else).
I feel like it’s one of the more slept-on features of Steam.

That’s pretty wild that it made it that far before getting caught… The fact that it was caught is a testament to the system working imo.
This is what people mean when they say that regulations are written in blood. Hundreds of people died at the Hyatt Regency.

Yeah, but it’s pretty clear as to why it’s not OK when you understand shear force.

Yeah, the best games back then had tutorials built in. Super Mario Bros. level 1-1 is probably one of the best tutorials ever made.

but if any sheer force is applied to the core,
Thank you… Anyone who had the case of the Hyatt Regency walkway collapse drilled into their heads in school recognizes the potential for shear force to fuck this column up.

Many states actually have literal “state militias,” they’re just not activated. The National Guard is more of a federal, centralized military force than a militia.
