I think I prefer that my dog dies before I do. Being a King Charles spaniel it’ll probably just sit by my rotting corpse until it dies from hunger.

That’s why you need your own server for email I guess.
- Comment on Why did they move the comments to the right 4 weeks ago:
I use the Newpipe Sponsorblock fork, but use the main YouTube client to find content then “share” it to Newpipe. A little fiddly as the share dialog is built to be hostile.

- Comment on What are You Working on Wednesday 1 month ago:
Already Thursday in Australia.
Yesterday chaired a committee meeting at a community radio station, fixed a printer for a customer, and slept in the car for an hour before dinner. Also tried Chrome os flex on an old Asus laptop plus mint (booted to a blank screen) then mint 17, will try Ubuntu 22 LTS tomorrow. It’s a spare with no purpose at this time and win 10 can’t run the amd GPU.

- Comment on Technology Connections: HVAC sizing follow-up (aux heat, shared walls, sizing for heating, "runs all the time," etc) 1 month ago:
Might be a regional thing. Here in Australia our houses often have sliding windows, so it’s not hard to open one and mount an aircon in the space, sealing around thy edges.
I think some other countries use hinged windows which are less amenable to being violated by a Window Rattler. Placing the entire unit inside against the window and creating some improvised ducting for the outdoor air inlet side can also work in a pinch.

Maybe go for a Window Rattler instead? Easy to install.

Did you replace it with something? Or maybe newer devices are a bit smarter and it’s not necessary.

Nice.
Yes, automate is good.
My Realme phone will probably kill such an app though. It kills tasker even when told not to.

Gravity Screen.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexnor…
Screen turns off when you put your phone into your pocket. No more pocket dials etc.
Might not work on newest devices.
