“It’s strange how you never see pedophiles, im sorry, drag queens reading to old people instead of kids”
The same old people’s generation that had military men dressing and dancing in drag in front of other military men and said nothing? It’s like these right-wing numbnuts don’t understand anything about the world at all.

I mean, do you not understand the concept of ‘don’t mess with critical files if you want your system to last’? This isn’t necessarily a bad thing about windows.

What does this have anything to do with the modern age? You’re making a massive assumption about something you know absolutely nothing about. Just because someone wants to use couch co-op doesn’t mean they don’t live in the modern age. What kind of dumb assessment is that? Also, are you unaware how DnD games are typically played? It’s-gasp-in person with other people. Wow!

I’ve seen companies install an whole-ass arcade room with skee ball machines and tout them like crazy. I was too naive at the time to think they were just masking a HORRIBLE company culture that makes people feel like absolute garbage.

- Comment on Nintendo Switch 2 to Feature as Much as 512 GB of Internal Storage, 8-Inch LCD Screen - Rumor 1 year ago:
Isn’t this basically what they did with the Switch? It’s very low on gimmicks that never get used (infrared? Touchscreen?)
Well, the switch actually has a touchscreen, so not sure what point you’re trying to make. Also, the joycons aren’t as study as everyone thinks they are including the drifting issue that Nintendo loves to ignore.
Also Nintendo has nothing to do with the development of Pokémon - so while shit, they hardly deserve the blame for that.
Nintendo, Gamefreak, and Creatures Inc. are all co-owners of Pokemon, but Nintendo is the largest shareholder of the three, so yeah if Nintendo looks at the train-wreck launch of the Pokemon games and says little, then they do get the blame for it.

The audacity of you asking for sources when you provided none for your position.
I love it.

but the idea that people are more productive at home isn’t proving itself to be true.
Except it is. Try harder.

and I think the people who say that most people are more productive are delusional
I care more about the actual data that otherwise makes your position the more delusional one. For instance, I-
There are more important things than just raw productivity numbers
Ah of course you had to throw that in there to address the numerous studies that say people are more productive working from home. I think you need to check your facts before posting about this topic again.

- Comment on What can I do if I think someone is downvoting all of my posts? 1 year ago:
Honestly, I’m really tired of this take. Humans are social creatures, it is normal to care about what others think of us and our contributions to the social fabric.
Sure, but if someone started caring about every little thing someone did to them, it would only give the instigators exactly what they want and thus further exacerbating the problem. Some people just need to grow thicker skin. That’s reality.
Would you stay in a community where you were only ever downvoted because ‘you shouldn’t care about votes’? That sounds psychotic, or trolling. If somebody followed a stranger down the street shouting you suck every minute, would you tell them they shouldn’t be caring about that?
100% false equivalence. If you think being downvoted on an internet forum is the same as public disorderly conduct/harassment, you don’t need more forum moderation, you need therapy.
But the phrasing make it sound like people are crazy to care to care at all, when for the majority of human development the opposite is true and you be crazy not to.
No one but you said that. It’s OK to care, but to the level that you’re describing is actually psychotic. People shouldn’t care that much because if you did, then it’ll just be a matter of time before something else that is very insignificant will also bother you. It’ll just be a habitual thing for you at that point. It’s better to deal with your insecurities now before they get worse. It’s downvotes FFS. You’ll be OK, I promise.
