Make voluntary payments a tax deduction. If self education expenses are tax deductable then at least make some HECS payments deductable.

Services do.exist, and it’s bold of Drag to assume these children aren’t already exposed to alcohol, cigarettes or other addictive drugs, this could even be happening in their home, along with violence and crime. It could even be part of abuse they experience at home.
Abusive homes are inhumane, prison is inhumane, child separation is inhumane, forced rehab and therapy are inhumane. I’ve known a couple of car stealing 11 year olds and they just thought it was fun, they slso knew there would be no consequences, so why not? - Comment on Why are peole hating on .world? 5 weeks ago:
The instance structure conveniently groups people together and labels them. Stereotyping, bias and tribalism are the natural result.

- Comment on Why limit immigration? 2 months ago:
When i was a kid even poor people had a 3 bedroom house on a quarter acre block. I know someone who rents the balcony of a 2 bedroom flat and shares with 7 other people., all of them are migrants or international students. Oddly enough, i live in a house that was built in a backyard. A cheap, crappy new investment property made to capitalise on the housing crisis. We’ve had more than two dozen tradesmen visit in a couple of years so i wonder how that investment’s working out. This is not progress.

Power gives people the freedom to act as they choose, and they choose a lot of nastiness. Does it not make sense that unconstrained choices represent who a person truly is?

- Comment on Why is there no sense of "camaderie" in the workplace? 3 months ago:
I have a ‘just a job’ and to give you a different perspective: we are bored as fuck and many people survive by socialising. People make friends and start relationships there all the time. There’s a social club and other groups of friends that regularly see each other outside of work. It’s also shift work with regular overtime and weekend work so people can’t always easily socialise outside of their job.

Because they’re too selfish and gutless to end the relationship. Slme people need monogamy and some need multiple partners, they should be honest aboit that and avoid having relationships with those who aren’t compatible.
- Comment on Good point 3 months ago:
Some people are monogamous and they are allowed to be in relationships that are satisfying and make them happy.

Inb4 “but it didn’t hurt, it’s just liquid”, that isn’t the point. Should it be ok for people to just throw liquid on you?
Kinda, yeah. It’s pretty funny when people throw milkshakes at politicians. Getting wet should not result in violence or police in my opinion, provided the liquid is harmless. It’s also somethimg that happens by accident very easily and people overreacting to that and getting violent is a bigger problem than a ruined shirt. Not that i throw liquid on people, i just think people need to calm down, it’s not an attempt on your life. I would certainly yell but throwing punches seems like an unnecessary escalation.
- Comment on Millionaire Investment Banker Jonathan Kaye caught punching, and breaking an unarmed woman's nose during Brooklyn Pride Festival 5 months ago:
It’s possible you might be a violent type. I cannot imagine breaking someone’s nose over something that ‘obviously didn’t hurt’.

- Comment on If an oven only has fan forced mode do i still need to set it to the fan forced temperature in recipes? Ie 160 instead of 180. 5 months ago:
The only options are fan forced, grill with fan and grill without fan. I might try the grill option and put some foil on a rack above the cake to stop the top from burning. I’ve had to do this for many years as my last two ovens only had functioning grills.
