matebuddy. - Comment on Marco Rubio reveals that what Zelensky did before cameras started rolling is reason why he should apologize 3 weeks ago:
Instead of bullying the victim Trump should throw his weight against the aggressor, like the US under previous administrations did and like Europe does. The war would end in a split second if Russia retreated their armed forces behind their internationally accepted own borders. It’s that easy. Does Trump tell that to the Russian aggressor?
- Comment on What happened to cylindrical plugs? 3 weeks ago:
Telephones in Germany had round plugs until after ww2. They were very convenient and also very bulky. They got replaced with much smaller plugs with more pins.

I have a mild variant of this. It’s funny when it hits you in completely unsuspicious food.

I was gonna say.
Nearly everything one observes year round is Earth. Even your clothes and the cloud of your warm breath when you are out observing the alignment in the cold is Earth.

Anyone care to explain the purpose of this contraption? Or was it especially designed to represent a fluid heavy group experience?
- Comment on Trump’s Wish to Control Greenland and Panama Canal: Not a Joke This Time 2 months ago:
But who is motivating him to do so? Orange shit stain never used a single braincell off his own few since his overlord Pootin filmed him dousing minors with piss (pretty sure the Moscow piss videos include CP as pissing is a negligible kink that wouldn’t make him so compliant).
Who really needs strategic access to Greenland and the Panama channel?

- Comment on This seat reservation doesn't reserve any seats 3 months ago:
Certain tickets in German rail have similar reservations. There are seats kept free in the train for those who have a reservation - simply find one of these seats and sit down there. Always worked fine for me.

- Comment on Sniper Elite Resistance dev defends asset reuse - “if they’re there to use, why not use them?” 3 months ago:
I was gonna say.
For a game like Fortnite for example reuse of assets is vital to make the constant updates possible - without that steady flow of changes the user base pretty sure would dwindle fast (as already regularly is the case at the end of their “chapters” and “seasons”). They have to balance old and new parameters a lot to not alienate any/or bore their customers - not the easiest thing to do according to their fan forums… :D
- Comment on No Man's Sky Head Claims Team Isn't Close To Being Done With Game's Content 3 months ago:
Yep, that’s my biggest gripe, too. “As vast as an ocean, at drop as a puddle”, is the notion I heard about it. Applies to all procedurally produced worlds I’ve seen. Doing more different would be a great effort for the devs, probably too expensive.
I’d suggest having community designed worlds (with enough regulations and filtering to avoid the unoccasional swastika and the likes).
- Comment on Call to fix palliative care before assisted dying 3 months ago:
Yep. It could indeed become integrated as it already somehow is, at least over here in Germany: If you are in end of life care the doctors will help you with a lot of medication to painlessly die. In that stage nearly nobody suffers anymore.
Just change the guidelines a little bit, find medical staff who are sympathetic to the cause, and a lot of suffering will be no more.

- Comment on Sharks 4 months ago:
They pretty sure may and pretty sure will.
At other extinction events deep water dwelling creatures had good chances to survive. Also sharks don’t have complex food needs, are widespread over the globe and procreate without much ado (no familie structures and such, their approach is quantity based)… They will do fine.

The whole continent of Africa (as every other continent) went through several major climate changes, small and big. Pretty sure there were at least five major turnovers from wet to dry climate and back since then, and numerous before.
