Same for kids and pets… They’re not really strong, it’s just that:
-
You’re trying not to hurt them or yourself, they don’t really care. This really levels the playing field.
-
You’re trying to accomplish a goal, they’re trying to do anything but that.this gives them a huge advantage.

This was unironically one of the worst jobs I ever worked. Management spent months trying to figure out why the night shift couldn’t keep up with the same routine work day shift did.
For some reason 2 people < 25 people never really clicked.

All taxation is theft.
Inheritance/estate tax is one of the more ethical ones, though.

- Comment on Why do fancy cars look fancy and cheap cars don't? Can't you just slap a Lamborghini-style chassis onto a lawnmower engine if you want? 2 months ago:
If you make a Volkswagen fancy, you end up with an Audi Or a Porsche. Or a Bentley. Or a laborghini. Or a Bugatti.

Not true. Marty could have also eaten pizza that was not his.

- Comment on Owing your home today is nearly impossible, but even if you did the ever increasing property taxes will bury you 5 months ago:
You could take the interpretation of “ownership” to many ridiculous conclusions, from “all ownership is theft” to “nothing is owned” to “all governent is crime” to “all taxation is theft” etc…
From a practical standpoint, “ownership” is an arbitrary threshold of exclusivity that is generally respected by society under appropriate conditions. Where that threshold and what the conditions are will vary by the type of property and general social sensibilities.

The other side of this I’ve seen is vendors setting the price to really high levels when out of stock. I’ve heard this explained as “the algorithm will punish you” for going out of stock and “if someone places an order, you can always scalp one”

To be further pedantic, milk also has a different specific heat which would overcorrect for the density difference by about the same amount.
The calorie is not an SI unit, it’s a cgs unit, and it isn’t coherent or order-of-ten with SI units.
Furthermore, I’m not aware of any market where you can buy energy in calories. Most will be in terms of Wh, mass, or volume, none of which would be coherent or order-of-ten with calories.
Except for food, I guess. But how much utility is there in knowing that you could almost pasteurize a liter of milk with a fun size snickers?
