You have just perfectly explained why I loved Shogun so much! It was much more forgiving to learn, and to then excel at. Very much a fun RTS. Atleast the original was very well made, I should try the second one.

Back in CSS prime we used to do Simon Says in a Jail Gamemode. Goodness was it a fun time, and probably the only time I can say “Those good listeners sure did enjoy pool day, too bad for all the ones I had to shoot”

I’ve got an amazing group of online friends, and we’ve been doing a big mix of Content warning, DnD with rotating DM’s, and of course a shit load of helldivers!

Soon to be alternatives, which I’m all for. I was only pointing it out that it isn’t exactly plausible for everyone, and arguing with someone who can’t is not worth their time, or yours.

What chicken allegations? Are you high or something?
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 6 days ago:
Its not that simple. I can see why you believe it is, and it probably helps contribute to why you have little empathy even for those who show you they physically cant.

The future will absolutely not look down on cultures that have to rely on animals for food. Do we look at native Americans as horrible people because they had to slaughter animals, in a controlled, and relatively well thought out manner?
Personally I believe the most likely alternative will be bugs. Do bugs not count as an animal? Or would you say bugs shouldn’t be eaten either

I came from RiF and used Connect for a long time. It had issues with always bringing you back to the top of the page when you would leave the app. Eventually I’ve settled on Boost, and immediately paid for just on the basis that it reminded me so much of RiF (and it works!)

Yep, my memory has faded. They do not look remotely similar, I must be remembering Jesse Plemons from elsewhere. Thank you.

Did anyone watch Video Game Highschool on YouTube? Am I crazy, or is the dude sitting in the captains chair, the same as the “villian” in vghs?

You can absolutely hope and pray you’ll adjust, but not everyone is capable of doing so. Do you not remember, or are you not old enough to know how difficult it was to get grandma to use a texting app? All I’m trying to help you understand is that not everyone is capable of learning how to use these things. Whether it be age, disability, or any number of things.

I am by no means a part of lemmy.world, if you bothered to look at my account I do not have my account based there. I also fail to see how it is relevant what so ever to our conversation? Every body gets old. New and wonderful things are constantly sprouting around us, nihilism will get you nowhere, and honestly will be a detriment to you as well… Especially as you get older and come to find yourself on the very end you’re fighting against: being able to understand how QR codes work, or what ever the newest and “greatest” invention may be.
- Comment on Shirley you cant be serious! 8 months ago:
You fail to see the point, and once again that’s okay. When technology outpaces you, you’ll come to understand what this conversation means. Take care, and try to make the world a better more accessible place if you have the capacity to do so :).

There was no question? But I’m glad your grandma has a phone. It must feel very good inside to have such privilege in this day and age! It’s really not that hard to understand not everyone can use a QR code. ADA laws exist for a reason. I’d totally understand if you’re just a 15 year old who’s trying to feel superior, but you’re being very ignorant to the less fortunate. Everyone would love to be able to experience all there is to life, and to gatekeep it behind a QR code is rather nonsensical.

Well considering 3rd world country doesnt mean what you think, I’m absolutely sure it’s possible.
- Comment on Shirley you cant be serious! 8 months ago:
Enjoy scanning random things from your ivory tower :). Maybe one day you’ll understand not everyone is as smart and privileged as you.
- Comment on Shirley you cant be serious! 8 months ago:
Pretty sure grandma wont have a phone to scan the QR code, so in reality itll be what ever money someone of your intelligence has.

Someone doesnt know what fake QR codes are, or the huge privacy risk associated with scanning random things out in the world.

I know my TV has those issues unless I turn on Game Mode, (tv setting) and that’s a 72in tv so I’m sorry you have that issue… What are the syncing/offline issues? I’ve been able to go from wifi to nothing just fine, all games besides DRM games have all worked flawlessly as well without even enabling offline mode, so now I’m curious as to what issues are there.
To be honest, I just want to help, I’m not trying to call any one out, I just personally believe that Steam has done a tremendous job at creating SteamOS.
- Comment on Plug and Play steamdeck! 8 months ago:
Would love to hear other issues on why you think the Steam Software is a mess? I’ve personally found it better in every way when compared to a PC, Laptop, or any other hardware, tho I’m hardly someone who uses it more than for streaming and gaming. Which has worked exceptionally well for being the forefront of handheld desktop gaming.
