He also has a completely unhinged video about a unibikal I’m sure I misspelled that but I know that’s what he made because he’s completely unhinged.

I love this video so much but his entire channel is amazing.
The running of a super Nintendo game on Nintendo is batshit insane. This guy understands computer science and engineering in a way that makes it just seem like magic to me, and I’m a computer scientist who works as an engineer.

…and the NBA is supported by the taxpayer.
The entire business model of professional sports requires socializing the cost of infrastructure through subsidizing the transportation, location, and logistics and exempting every one of these monopoly wealth getting schemes from labor laws, antitrust, and public review.
The NBA, NFL, MLB, etc are a scam And they need to learn how to pay their own bills.
- Comment on Who Wants To Be A Lemming 2 months ago:
Do you know the difference between subsidized and self sufficient?
- Comment on Who Wants To Be A Lemming 2 months ago:
And how much of The profitability of that industry is owed to state sponsorship, tax breaks, and Monopoly exceptions?
Professional sports needs to learn how to pay its own bills before it can be used as an example of why women’s sports aren’t profitable.
- Comment on Who Wants To Be A Lemming 2 months ago:
Let’s drop the state sponsorship of professional men’s sports and sporting arenas down to the level that we give to the women’s teams and see how those salaries look in a couple of years…

I got (attempted) robbed at gunpoint in my home one time. The only real warning we had was the dogs barking considering they never barked ever.
If the dogs hadn’t warned us, it might have taken longer to call the police and it could have taken them even longer than 1.5 hours to drive 6 city blocks to our house and arrest the concussed wannabe hardasses that tried to rob us.
Good dogs.

Water, apple, handful of nuts, Walk around for at least 15 minutes. If a headache isn’t on the way out then maybe try to shift the problem to your liver with some ibuprofen or Tylenol but it shouldn’t be the first thing people try.

I remember when Plex was much more customizable, had plugins, and fully offline functionality.
When Apple TV relented and started supporting Plex, all of those features were striped away. UI customizability was the first to go, and you couldn’t even hold on to old versions because they were force updated and now required internet to work at all.
Then came the injection of ad supported streams that show up in searches as ‘movies and TV shows’ and my mother asks me why there are so many commercials because outside nonsense was reenabled on her app after an update. Adding channels to users screens and frequently re-enabling things despite users explicitly trying to disable them while requiring everything to be online all the time is not a good sign.
I love Plex. I have been a lifetime member for over ten years and building my homelab has been a fantastic learning experience and now career that would not have happened if I didn’t get into Plex. It’s a wonderful product, I do fear that lifetime members like myself are not driving the economic interests of the company though. They’ve already got my money, and to be fair I got much more than I paid for.

They are coming for Plex too, I fear it might be more insidious in that they will already have so much user data by the time they decide to flip the switch on people using it.
I’m hoping jellyfin or emby get to the interface quality and platform support Plex has so there is a place to go when Plex gets sucked under the tide.

It’s poorly optimized code, and the comments from the top brass has been “lol your PC sux” when they can’t even get it running right on their own hardware.
It’s not the variations of PC that’s the issue, it’s a design and quality control issue. Direct X and Vulkan are the bread and butter of PC gaming. Microsoft developed direct X to establish a common graphics framework for Windows and Microsoft game studio still fucked up working with it.
