I had someone tell me you can’t do work on Linux… If pretty much the entire internet, your router, your TV, your phone, your NAS, your car etc run on Linux then what is real work? They defined it as content creation and specifically adobe apps which can’t argue don’t run on Linux, but also are not what I consider “work.”

I did the over night shift for 3 or 4 years. Those were lost years for sure. Its been much better doing 6am to 6pm. I still need the first day off to just relax, but it doesn’t feel like a wasted day anymore. Just a lazy one.

I do 12 hour shifts, 3 days on 3 off then 4 on 4 off pay periods. The 3 days off don’t feel like enough so I don’t know how people work with 2 days off. 12 hour shifts do make it hard to do anything when I get home though.

The one frequent scenario I can think of off the top of my head is merging onto the highway. At least once a week it feels like I’m stuckbehingd someone trying to merge onto the highway 10mph under the speed limit making it more dangerous for everyone stuck behind them.

They do look very similar. Wouldn’t have questioned it if I hadn’t just played chrono trigger.

Marle is from chrono trigger. The SoM girl is either Purim or Primm.

Tunic is fantastic, but not that chill. Its kinda “souls-lite” So much dying, though punishment is minimal.

Talos Principal 1 and 2. They are also story based puzzle games. I’m not sure I’d Talos 1 remaster or 2 are on Mac but I’m sure the original one is, which still holds up.

I scrub with soap at night shower. Morning shower is just letting hot water wake me up and to wash my face, cause I’ve always been a messy face washer at the sink.

When I was 6 I was so excited to get a SNES. I wanted the bundle with super Mario World but it was sold out. So my parents gave me the option of waiting of getting this other bundle with this Zelda game. That sounded kind of girly to me being 6 and knowing nothing, but I was also 6 and had no patitience so Zelda it was.
I got home and started playing and was immediately hooked. I spent the next few years exploring every inch of Hyrule and the Dark World.
To this day I still don’t have Super Mario World and have only played a few levels but I have played every Zelda since.
I’ve played dozens or hundreds of games since thrn, many that were absolutely amazing but nothing until Breath if the Wild gave me that same magic of wanting to discover every nook and cranny of the world just to see what’s there.

Even when you have an affordable prescription good luck getting it filled. I’ve been waiting over a week and Walgreen’s is still fucking around with it. I’ve been out the last two days and starting to get withdrawl symptoms. Luckily its nothing I need to survive but going unplanned cold turkey is not healthy.

I worked with a dude who loved “ramen” but had never had it from a restaurant. He didn’t seem like he knew how to cook particularly well, and I’m not sure if he’d ever even left the suburbs he was born in.
One day he was talking about how excited he was to go to a real ramen shop over the weekend. So next time I see him I asked how it went. He sighed and said he got a veggie ramen because he found out the meat ones were “made with bone” and he was grossed out by it. I could only say “of course, that’s how you make good soup.” Then I had to explain how you make stock or split pea with ham soup, etc. I think I ruined soup for him.
