Floppies read just fine today with usb drives. I read and write floppies for a bunch of weird, old computers at work just fine. I expect that sata hardware will still be pretty accessible in 30 years even if it isn’t standard on future PCs.

Hunie pop is a legit good game. Its a fun puzzler and a toungue in cheek take on the genre.

Reading the news is a necessary chore. I often regret it and love getting away from it.
Reading a book is soul soothing.

I can’t tell if this is a shitty seller or shitty bidder. It could be a 25 dollar item the seller thinks is worth 350, or it could just be someone looking for a score.
If I’m making a serious bid I take 10-20% off max.

The only voice function I use is setting timers and I get so frustrated Google wants me to unlock my phone to do so. I am using my voice because my hands are busy. So annoying!

Get another carrot and when they come home just start chompping down on it nonchalantly. Total power move to establish your dominance.

It’s been almost 20 years since I felt patriotic. I mostly just comfort the dog and hope the yahoos don’t accidentally burn my house down.

Milk is weird. I don’t think any other mammals drink it after childhood, or from other animals.

We still have coffee and creamer, but it’s the worst shit imaginable, just burnt beans and powdered creamer. I was pissed when I went to our HQ in another state, which is smaller than our site and they had a good brand from my city and multiple real creamers. They had a free soda fountain too which we don’t have, but I’m trying to cut that shit outta my life so that’s probably for the best.

So glad I live 5 minutes from work and can go home for lunch. Mostly it’s to see the dog but it’s also nice not worrying about this crap.
I only ever use our group’s mini fridge in our cubicle for a seltzer I drink at the end of the day. Even that is a chaotic fridge filled with rotting food and too many condiments and creamers. I just put a can in to cool in the morning and take it out to drink by the end of the day.

What I like, screen is almost as good as the oleds, games with patches play and look better (BoTW and ToTK, been playing echoes of wisdom) Mario kart is a blast. Can boost headphone volume to much louder levels after disabling the limiter.
What I don’t like. no USB c video out on xr glasses or portable monitors. virtual game cards are regressive. game key cards should register for a month or at least a few weeks. having to put one in every time for a downloaded game is dumb. battery life is ass.
hopefully more switch one games get patched to take advantage of the hw. looking forward to Metroid

I do use it, probably one shoot or so a month. out of every 100 pictures I probably have one great one and 10 others that would be good with editing but I never go back and edit them. A phone is probably better for most people most of the time but there are definitely cases where it wont do the job.
I initially bought it when I worked over night shifts and wanted a night time hobby on the weekends, so I wanted to do deep space photography. I finally got on days soon after and am not up as late anymore so mostly take it on hikes, or birding and rarely around the city.
I rarely talk about it unless I show a picture that people ask “how’d you take that?” and I have to explain. I’ve bought a few lenses in 5 years but think I’m set on those. Maybe in another 5 years I’ll upgrade the body. For me it’s been a worthwhile investment.

Yes dedicated cameras are still around. They aren’t going away anytime soon. I really like my Fuji camera.
Canon makes great optics and decent hardware but is pretty bad at everything else.

I took down all the lan ports in our cube area connecting a raspberry pi to the network. I left network as static as I set it up and installed it into equipment where it won’t touch the network but the machine can talk to it, but then realized I needed some extra software. So I brought it out to my desk where I had set it up while it was set to dynamic and it caused the whole switch it was connected to to shut down. No one really seemed bothered when I went to get it fixed. Concerningly not bothered in fact.
