Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t it come out a while back that Just Stop Oil is actually bankrolled by some oil company and is essentially meant to create a false narrative against actual climate protestors? Am I misremembering?

I couldn’t get past her starting the mental math. “If I run a mile in 8 mins…” This lady can vote, drive a car, and purchase a firearm. We’re so fucked.
- Comment on Halo: Combat Evolved remaster reportedly in the works, being considered for PlayStation release 2 weeks ago:
I would like them to fix the 60 fps cutscene issue. None of the original cutscenes were designed for that high frame rate, they just artificially sped them up which makes a lot of the Halo 3 cutscenes look weird. I’d at least like a proper port, kind of like what Nixxes has been doing for Sony games on PC.
- Comment on Why Toyota Is Intentionally "Falling Behind" On EVs | Morning Brew (10:10) 3 weeks ago:
I don’t know how much research/traction this idea has, but I’ve heard of a reverse hybrid system that seems to be a good solution in my mind. The electric engine operates the drivetrain, and the combustion engines runs continuously at its most efficient configuration to act as a generator for the electric engine. There’s still a battery to store power, but the combustion engine will last MUCH longer due to consistent/stable RPMs and usage. Plus, you get the advantage of electric instant torque.

I remember it having initial difficulties due to optimization problems on most platforms initially. It’s almost like what they’re really saying is “We see how much time and effort it would take to remake it properly, and we aren’t willing to give that to developers because SHAREHOLDERS.” An excuse which an executive from Larian recently commented on and provided some useful insight towards.

I thought the packaging would have an extra tag on it that would get scanned as you left? Uniqlo already does something similar at their locations. You just dump clothes in a bucket and the tag (can’t remember if they’re RFID or what) is automatically registered and added to your bill. Just make a tunnel variant and have people go through single file or something. They’re already scanning people’s palms to pay for Christ’s sake.

Is this something that Mark Cuban’s new pharmacy company could take care of? Not to shill for something dystopian, but I’ve heard people are saving money on the medications they cover. Something to look into?
