  Some people are super fucking dumb and even cause problems.

  One trick - managers don’t often want to get actual work either. They’re lazy fucks half the time. When you actually work and raise serious issues to them, you give them work, work where they know they have to do something or it’s bad.

  But if you kinda slide by too and quietly handle shit and give them thumbs up every conversation like “all good boss, already took out the garbage too”, they will fucking love you.

  It’s really that easy. Don’t give them extra work, which means actually do your job visibly so people see you get something done, but also don’t take it more serious than your boss so they don’t know have to worry about shit they don’t want to worry about.

  I have made the mistake many times of trying to tackle big issues when the boss doesn’t want the extra work, and it’s easiest to just lie and say everything is fine, and do what you can to put out fires yourself.

  On the software side, I noticed a bunch of alarms going off and broken shit… Then I realized no one was actually looking at this but me. Sometimes my problem is I am the only person who cares about this shit and I have to know to stfu.

  Right now, i would be asking, how’s your Spanish? Can you start networking about jobs in Mexico city today?

  And, really, how much is money a factor? Are you low in funds but have skills that countries want, like cybersecurity type of experience or some technical degree that few have? It’s worth checking if Canada or Mexico want whatever skills you might have. Sometimes it’s easy to immigrate if you’re young, healthy, and easy to employ.
