An estimated 460,000 children go missing in the US every year. Flock cameras have not helped to solve this problem one iota.
Flock cameras are being used to stalk ex-girlfriends, surveil recreational pot users, harass women who get abortions, and creep on children.
They were never meant to solve crimes.

I don’t think not volunteering to come in on your day off when your boss hasn’t even asked you to do so yet indicates a “lack of empathy.”

He also for some reason thinks that Xenia is a biblical addition to the film by the director. Not sure how he ended up with that conclusion.
Dear liberals,
You claim that you’re not sure how he ended up with that conclusion, yet you’re fully aware of what a media illiterate moron he is.
Curious.

Timmy Turner had the right idea. Norm (MacDonald) the Genie kept fucking him over on his wishes so he got an attorney to write up his final wish in the form of an airtight contract.

- Comment on What's a weird or baffling social event you experienced? 2 months ago:
Back in college I bought weed from a townie. Starting January 1st anytime you bought from him he would include a raffle ticket in your bag of weed. On 4/20 he threw a big 420 party in a public park which was my dealer and all his other customers, which was a lot of other townies and a handful of smaller dealers that source from him. He had a bunch of games and stuff organized and everyone was smoking weed just out in public (this was well before weed was legalized in most places).
This one guy who I think was a dealer introduced himself as “Uncle Eddie,” which sounds like the name of your weird relative that nobody lets near the kids at Thanksgiving, but I digress. He hand the words “PUNK” and “ROCK” tattooed on the knuckles of each of his hands. Randomly throughout the conversation he’d tell you to pound it and offer a fist. After awhile I figured out that if he liked or respected something you said, he’d let you pound the “ROCK” fist, if he didn’t like it he’d have you pound the “PUNK” fist. I did not feel comfortable at any point during our conversation.
Anyway, the last event was the raffle and me and my roommates won the prize of a quarter pound of weed. I distinctly remember my dealer handing it to me and saying “congratulations now you’re a felon, man.” It was there dirtiest, reggiest, seed-filled bag of weed I’d ever seen in my life. If I had to guess it was probably about 50% seeds by weight. We tried to smoke some when we got home but it was so awful. It made some pretty decent brownies though.
- Comment on How do you explain protocol to a 5 year old ? 2 months ago:
Basic manners and politeness is a loose protocol of sorts. The following is a basic exchange between two people using please to request something, a response, followed by thank you and you’re welcome to wrap up the exchange.
Can I please have X?
Yes you may.
Thank you!
You’re welcome!

Because Five Nights at Freddy’s is a work of fiction and can demand some suspension of disbelief from the players.
- Comment on Do I belong in tech anymore? - On quitting, the spread of AI, and the loss of an ideal. 4 months ago:
AI is rapidly eroding any joy or satisfaction I once derived from my development job. I know better than to voice my concerns about it, I’ve been around long enough to know when the company has its mind made up about something and expects everyone to get on board or get out of the way.
I don’t know where to go to escape it, though. Every company seems to be going all-in on AI and I’m not sure what else I could do with my education and skill set. And it’s not like my family can afford for me to take a pay cut in the current economy.
