He has an inability to take responsibility for his decisions when caught trying to control others, so he talks down to everyone else.
His remark about disassociating, is a major characteristic of all dissociative phenomena involving a detachment from reality, which we are seeing above. He’s hinting that he’s still subconsciously aware of his mistake and is simply furious that he slipped up. I wouldn’t be surprised if he eventually decides to return.

This is precisely why I detest being a juror. There’s always one juror questioning my memory. Consequently, I follow by repeating the last five minutes of the conversation to prove it. Subsequently, someone acts like it’s a gift, but it’s akin to living in my own personal hell. Having to recall almost everything for decades. It’s almost impossible to ever let things go.

So cool that Apple stopped making iOS 18 updates for all devices above iPhone XR. /s Forcing users on 11/12/13/14/15/16/17 devices to choose either staying on the more stable 18.7.2 where they were comfortable, or the garbage can of iOS 26. They fixed the DarkSword issue on the XR and select iPads with a 18.8 patch, but refuse to release it for anyone still on 18.7.2, on any device that’s iOS 26 compatible.
