That is a point you need to bring up in your official capacity with the 911 dispatch you work for. Tell them what is going on and ask for a system account to be set up for each agent so that it’s just a formal login that is tied to the job and nothing else.

Just be glad Brett didn’t form a progressive folk duo with one of his friends.

Well, thankfully there aren’t that many flock cameras in the state. Even the cops up here are kinda “ehhhhh” on them.

30s. Those were the fun years. Am 61 now and NGL, once you hit 50 and get gray and wrinkles… you find that people will give you even less shit. Which is amazing! Some say that it’s the aches and pains that come of age that suck the most, but I’ve always been a bit on the clumsy side with a high pain threshold, so it’s been a constant since I was a teenager.

Firefox and the Bypass Paywalls Clean extension.
Gets you past most of the paywalls. Thing is, sites like the NYT have plenty of advertising, so just going on the site gets them paid.
Unless you also add uBO.

- Comment on If the US Military can offer free money for college education..and is part of the government then why does the average Joe have to pay back a small student loan? 4 weeks ago:
Simplest answer… the average Joe doesn’t get blown up or shot at while on the job.

I’d say they’re an asshole and leave it at that.
- Comment on Why don't people afraid of AI instead use it while they can to make decent money? 1 month ago:
It’s transient at best, with AI. It’s still to new and there will be a ton of ventures tied to it that fail in the long run of it.
People need long term happiness and stability and right now the industry is in disruption mode and creating too much future uncertainty.
- Comment on Is it true that airport customs can legally demand access to your unlocked phone? 1 month ago:
That only works as long as you use those login options. If you stick to a PIN code only… well… whoop!
There it is. Too bad, so sad…
- Comment on Is it true that airport customs can legally demand access to your unlocked phone? 1 month ago:
Yup. So when you travel, get a budget flip phone that you can load up with minutes and take a proper digital camera.
Last trip I took out west, I took an old laptop and threw a small SSD in it and added a fresh OS install, so the computer had NOTHING but pictures from my camera on it and a hundred+ albums from my music collection.
No logins on ANY sites at all.
(I only have a handful of social media sites I go to and have the logins committed to memory, but when travelling, I don’t need to actually login, since I’m out and about actually visiting and doing shit and not sitting at the computer banging away on it…)
It’s the only way to handle travel safely, so you run no chance of your privacy actually being exposed.
When I got home I swapped the main drive back in and transferred the photos to it.
Happy, happy, joy, joy.

Well… since milk crates hold 4 gallons and the rest of the world’s metric… Maybe they sit on fish tubs?
- Comment on How do I get the damn cat to understand I can feed myself? 1 month ago:
Ehhhh… We thought about it, but we decided that a pet wasn’t something we could emotionally or financially afford.
We had a great run with Celia the Monster and both missed her fiercely and just didn’t ever want to put ourselves through that again.
Also, we can take off for a few days and not have to worry about food, water and the rest of it.
- Comment on How do you keep your shit organized? 1 month ago:
You in the States?
Start looking around for milk crates. They stack.
- Comment on How do I get the damn cat to understand I can feed myself? 1 month ago:
My cat was lousy catching birds… but man, did she ever open a can of whoop-ass on the mice, rabbits and squirrels.
Since she’s been dead - the fucking squirrels managed to get into the rafters (which are finally getting closed up as I type this) and we’ve had three mouse infestation waves. The rabbits have completely wiped out the backyard garden now, 5 years running.

This is exactly the difference between kids and adults.
You’re reading a lot of posts from kids that wear their hearts on their sleeves and advocate for what they think is the “good” side.
There is a way to block the .ml instance, I did so within the first week I joined.
It winnows out the kids.

…As for today I wonder what their goal is…
There is no goal other than wealth accumulation. It’s a barefaced embrace of the “Gilded Age” corruption and excesses that existed before the bottom fell out in the early 20th century. On a high speed setting.
The underlying vibe is that there is an economic collapse coming (this is why we are in the “Late Stage Capitalism” phase where the middle class is now being eaten alive) and the power brokers and wealthy are grabbing as much as they can before it all falls apart.
Fun times ahead.
America is falling, and this should be an object lesson for the world in what happens when the billionaire classes are allowed to do what they want.
It is okay to set a maximum level of wealth for the ultra wealthy in your country. If not, do everything in your power to limit their policical power.
Protect yourselves.

Being angry at “the west” is easy, as it’s an open book.
Let’s investigate other societies and see how transparent their imperial actions are.
Ehhh, not so easy to do…
Whatever.
