Yeah I share the house with the in laws so dont have complete control.
My mother in law wanted turf installed in the front after we installed a fence to keep anyone from parking on the yard (father in law) but it was way too expensive for the nice stuff,so father in law came in quick and had some guys install a lawn for cheap. He was excited for a lawn since the start, on move in day he got two lawn mowers even though it was all dirt.
At least I was able to get a big barrel and water pump so showed them how to use laundry water to water the lawn so we haven’t actually had to use the sprinklers at all so far. I’ve been wanting to find something that I could sprinkle seeds around to get it to be more California summer resistant. At least the kids really like it, and the dogs go nuts when we hangout in the front with them because they can run along side anyone that walks by sniffing their butts

- Comment on Google Pixel 10a review: cheaper Android is great, but no real advance 2 months ago:
yeah Im going from my s22 galaxy to the 10a and really wanted a much smaller phone, I mean compared to the s22 everything is smaller, but I wanted even smaller. Google sent me a $100 discount code and offered $100 trade in credit for my pixel 3 I still had kicking around so I took it, plus it comes with free earbuds that I can sell off. the main issue was I got a car recently that has android auto which is nice but the s22 has an issue with disconnecting due to wifi interference so it all just kind of lined up, now I can finally try graphene OS. s22 still seems like a better phone with the stylus and everything but realistically I don’t use it enough to justify the size in my pocket all the time

Chomp first ask questions later.
I remember feeling really sad watching some nature show and they mentioned how they just bite whatever touches their mouth and sure enough it bumped into another croc floating next to it and it bit and spun off the other crocs leg

Once I got older yeah, even peed spice one time when the dude at the Thai restaurant warned me several times about a dish and I dismissed him because I had spicy Thai before. Turns out I didnt and the next morning I peed spice then shat lava.
My body can’t take the heat anymore which sucks because I can’t really taste spice anymore since covid, I mostly just feel it on my lips and throat which warns me to take it easy

Leo XIII argued in favor of workers rights and trade unions back in 1890 (in rerum novarum). In practice, of course, things go a little bit different.
But that doesn’t resonate with mothra

- Comment on Sincere question: why play long video games? 4 months ago:
Like anything its about how fun it is. Some people like to binge watch TV shows but thats some thing that I just can’t do. I can do like an episode of one show and maybe one episode of another and then I’m itching to do something else. Where with something like fallout I can sit there and plan my base or several quests for hours. Or arc raiders I can do raid after raid and time could fly.
I generally game early morning between like 5-9am on weekends when the family is still asleep so I don’t really feel like its wasting time, I’d just be sleeping otherwise

I think there is just way more games now so you can pick a game back then and find a bad game to compare it to now, but there are also tons of really good similar games now you just have to sort through so many

This is how it felt like setting up my homelab. Watching videos or searching for tutorials when you hit some error and trying to figure it out all frantic. Then you sort of just happen to fix it after putting it down for a bit and everything is OK.
I just went through it last night when I saw my syncthing container had a database corruption error after seeing my darktable had an error. I was able to install the darktable flatpak which worked, synced my darktable database had to use flatseal to give syncthing access to that, then had to rebuild the syncthing database and now all is running again.
At first I was all nervous but remembered how I’ve figured things out in the past and its just a matter of time so I wasn’t panicked like previous times

- Comment on Welcome to the FPS vibe shift: At the end of 2025, it's clear that casual shooters are back in a big way. 4 months ago:
I think that depends on the way you play. You can lose everything pretty quickly by getting swarmed from a few low level bots or someone shooting you in the back. Which at least for me makes it feel not that casual.
The game does try and match you based on aggressiveness so if you chill and don’t shoot other players you’ll filter into the nicer lobbies although you still never know if the person next to you will choose that day to decide and PvP. Its famous for people to send the ‘don’t shoot’ emote then as soon as you turn to walk away they shoot you

I noticed this a while back, everyone was always friendly until this random guy started shooting at me, me and someone next to me doing the same quest ended up taking him down when he came down off the control tower, and I finished him off. After that the next several rounds were always shoot on site
