  What does hiking and traveling even mean? I’m nomadic and spend most of my time hiking. The only people doing the same are retired 60+. I never see anyone my age on trails, camping, being nomadic. I’ve literally never met someone my age or younger who’s a functioning tramp. In the last year I’ve only met one couple in a schoolie who were <50.

  That’s what I did with my awd supercharged previa. Got through sand so much better than any truck with the weight distribution and being so light anyways. Really miss it. Would 100% buy one again if it ever comes up. I kind of want to do a rally build previa, even with bigger offroad tires it still drifted so nice on gravel. Such a low CG.

  I was working in a situation that was hot and we had a lot of iso alcohol on hand. We you inevitably get too stanky, we would soak something like a paper towel in iso to scrub our pits and crotch. Makes you feel real warm for a bit and probably 10x my chance for ball cancer, but that would kill anything making stank.

  At least in north America, domestic cats are far from the top of the food chain and have many predators. Which is why they don’t live outside human civilization. Lionfish have no predators in the areas they’re invasive, which is the problem. Though it looks like both sharks and grouper can be trained by humans to eat them so once that chain is established the lionfish might start declining.

  Catfish stab people all the time. They have long, and sometimes barbed, spines in their fins. Can go clean through your hand. And if it is barbed, it can be better to push all the way through instead of trying to tear it out against the barbs.

  The sun is putting out roughly 1kW/m^2, so for every square meter of your roof you cover, you’re keeping out 1kW of heat (obviously not strict math here). You can decide if you are more concerned about looking crazy or suffering in heat. Emergency blankets, space blankets, mylar(they’re actually polyester) blankets, are cheap.

  Adore, maybe a couple times, but usually its even just being tolerated. If a toxic person is part of your friend group, I’m not going to be apart of that. And I hate the whole “friend group” thing anyways. I prefer to just maintain personal relationships and spend time doing what we enjoy. I’d rather hang out once a month with just a buddy or two than spend every weekend with a group.

  I remember being pleasantly surprised with it being appropriately “entertainment accurate”. Normie’s watching it see all the stuff and think hackerman. But for people who know anything about tech, it was good enough that you weren’t sitting there in agony knowing “that’s not how that works!”.

  I think they were just trying to fire your friend without paying UI, which is standard practice in the US. You can be fired at any time without cause, but then the employer is on the hook to pay your unemployment. As long as they can find some “cause”, then you’re fired and ineligible for unemployment benefits.

  It wasn’t until recently that I learned how bad cinnamon was for you. Saw that the max you should consume per day is 1-2 teaspoons. Not tablespoons. I was eating a whole thing of cinnamon powder a week just cuz I like it. I’ve stopped doing that.

  I had to do install drawings/instructions at my last job. The number of times I just wanted to put “install according to all local codes”. I’m looking at 15 year old architectural drawings, never seen the building, don’t know shit about where anything actually is. They’re big boys and will figure it out. I was in aerospace before that and was like we did less documentation. I hate MEP.
