Yeah, sorry. Its difference in temperature. I got delta-T in my head and blinkered in on either making a ‘triangle’ to denote delta or just write it out, instead of just saying temperature difference.
Apologies.

I know its memes, but the astronaut tim peake discussed the space suits on No Such Thing As A Fish where he said that the whole get-up is like 16+ layers thick, and the only heating inside is for your fingertips, so you dont lose fine motor function. He said you can be sitting working on a panel outside the station, with one hand facing the sun and one hand facing the shade, and the delta-T of your two hands could be something like 500°C.
Maaaaadness! (It’s been a while since I listened to this episode, my memory of numbers could be skewed.)

Your sister sounds pretty incredible.
I never feel as though I’d know what to do or say, or would be able to even help in the first place.
Kudos to the pair of you.

This is a whole sub-genre in British tabloids. Absolute melts pointing at things with a sad or annoyed face.
Cannot for the life of me remember the collective term for them.

I’ve never sat in a tesla that didnt have an annoying plastic creak. Either when going over the road, or if you dare rest your arm on the door.

I’ve just started rewatching Archer from the beginning. I loved it at the time, and I agree that it ended very well.
I hope Reed takes some time to contemplate another project to get passionate about, because I loved both Archer and Frisky Dingo.

Im from the north east. None of those places. But they have already been doing schemes after covid of £2 rides from the provinces into the likes of Newcastle.
That has actually lapsed now but stuff like this gives me hope that they’ll be able take charge and do something like it. There’s also been a spate of bus shelter improvements near me also. Im loving the buses.
Though the number scratched into the back of the seat on the double decker I was on did not, in fact, lead to a hot fuck as was advertised.

I’ve had this thought about heaven before. Like I assume you don’t go in with whatever limitations there are on your brain in your earthly form, which means the people that died longest ago will have this almost unapproachable level of knowledge, and it feels like that everyone would get to that level across eternity. Then what? It would be a space filled with everyone that knows everything. Would you even be you anymore? Wouldn’t it all be boring?
(I don’t believe in heaven)

I work away for long periods at a time. I did hear about the steel but not its resolution.
- Comment on Who owns Britain? The effects of privatisation on the costs of living in the UK 4 months ago:
I remember all the hubbub about the steel but I had heard nothing about rail. Thats excellent news. All i hear is the bad news going on in the UK, for some reason.
- Comment on Who owns Britain? The effects of privatisation on the costs of living in the UK 4 months ago:
Wait. The rail and steel are being nationalised? I’ve heard nothing of this.
