Fortnite is the master of brand based collabs. They aren’t afraid of mixing their ip with others or changing their game. They will change the map by adding a giant travis scott concert in the middle, or put a peter griffin character in game. A lot of other games are scared to add new things or put things unrelated into their games. I dont understand why people love having giant corporations shoved into their games but they do.

I must be living under a rock because i’ve never heard of this game. It sounds awesome from the way you describe it.

No because its not being posted by 100 different people its two people and I know they are not Pro AI and I know they hate grok. So seeing them post AI claims as news is funny to me.
- Comment on Anon watches youtube 3 days ago:
I dont care if they are a 1 person business or a small team. What im talking about is when a Giant multinational corporation buys up 1000s of youtube channels. I want to watch 1 person or a small team not a big talent corp
- Comment on Lemmy be like 3 days ago:
You would be right if they weren’t posting the article using grok as the source for the main claim.
The articles were “grok claims it was suspended from x for accusing isreal of genocide” thats fine. It is hypocritical when you post that article to every news, politics and tech community. There were a few communities where people commented that grok is full of shit but way to many communities treated it as if it was solid evidence.
- Comment on Anon watches youtube 4 days ago:
Most youtubers are businesses owned by corporate networks. The person on screen is just the talent pretending to be an organic channel.
- Comment on Lemmy be like 4 days ago:
it doesnt seem hypocritical. It is

I was laughing today seeing the same users who have been calling AI a bullshit machine posting articles like “grok claims this happened”. Very funny how quick people switch up when it aligns with them.

US foreign policy involves US companies sending weapons to Isreal and the US gov providing aid. Its been that way for over 50 years. Once the war broke out for the first 6 months there was no reason that should change, the democrat policy during this time was to use the aid as leverage to constain isreal and they did. The republican policy as been to use the US’s position on the world stage to empower isreal. These are two completely different approaches.
The dems got multiple ceasefires and pushed for a reasonable end to the conflict while republicans broke ceasefires and changed the deal to be so one sided there is near 0 chance gaza accepts.
- Comment on Need a keyboard with a dedicated "slop" button 1 week ago:
Republicans and Democrats both shovelled weapons to Israel. They are thus, as a whole, identical. Indistinguishable.
This is disputable. They have had very different approaches. I’m convinced this talking point is conjured up by Russia to sow dissent.

Play Squad where you can easily spend 10 mins running to the next objective because your SL is to dumb to call for a heli or organize a ride.

No, his argument is that the average human needs this standard. also, it is a model, it is by definition simplified.
His argument is the average hmuan needs this standard… so we can cut “unnecessary production” and it will be fine. I’m arguing that he cant label things unnecessary because hes found a standard wealth level he thinks is good enough. It wont work as an approach because humans require a diverse range of inputs to live happy lives and that requires a diverse and dynamic production economy.
- Comment on Resources 2 weeks ago:
Uh I disagree. The author is suggesting we could cut 70% of the worlds industry because he thinks that represents a good enough standard of living. If he was suggesting that everyone be brought up to the minimum standard then he wouldnt be suggesting large scale degrowth.
Which paper are you getting this from?
- Comment on linus tech tip 3 weeks ago:
You dont get to where Linus has gotten without fucking up a few times. Most of his big controversies are due to bad practice of an employee and hes owned it and corrected it. The rest are due to his Spicy takes on the WAN show where he gives the ‘ceo perspective’ on consumer issues.
- Comment on linus tech tip 3 weeks ago:
I’m a linux user and I regularly watch him. I would not describe LTT as “aggressively anti Linux”. They talk about linux and its flaws and sometimes their info is a bit outdated. But they dont hate linux and might be doing another linux 30day video soon.
- Comment on Resources 3 weeks ago:
Ah hes a degrowther, makes sense. I read through his paper and I really don’t think its realistic or thought provoking. It lacks humanity and applies a utilitarian solution. Its the same as saying we have x humans producing co2 lets reduce the number of humans but instead of humans its goods he deems to be unnecessary.
His entire premise is based on what he thinks a person needs to live a good life. But lifes just not that simple and people all around the world NEED different things this type of strict partitioning fails when applied to the entire world. Part of what makes our current system work is that its dynamic, people create goods they want and those who also want those goods buy them.
- Comment on Resources 3 weeks ago:
How did they calculate that? I don’t believe it.
