If I recall that was a bug. Generally windows does not randomly start rewriting boot partitions unless maybe you put it into repair mode from the boot menu and you have both partitions on the same disk.

You even see it here. People will post “quality journalism” and then it gets attacked because its nuanced and doesnt extrapolate into extreme claims.
People are so used to the rage-bait and bad journalism that its hard for actual reporting to break through. As well as it takes 1000x more effort to gather the evidence and story for quality reporting. Its bad, we need to start supporting journalists through gov subsidies and donations.

I hate games journalists. I’m sure there are some good ones but most of them are corporate trash and their reviews are thinly veiled ads. They dont care about the games they write about. They dont take the time to learn the games and are just generally bad at games. Basically the entire industry is just shitting out the most dogshit video game opinions 24/7. I’d rather go to Lemmy or Reddit and read what actual players have to say about games.

Yeah this is why I think the ‘easy mode’ debate is so pointless. Majority of games cater to a frictionless generalized experience with a low barrier to entry (which I find very boring). The few games that try to challenge the players that like to be challenged arent designed to be for everyone. If every game was darksouls i’d understand the ‘easy mode’ side of the argument a lot more.

I dont think fun is the right word because I dont think the run back is fun. Its annoying and everytime I die on the runback I am annoyed. But it helps me to slow down and stops me from tilting hard and dying 50x to the first boss attack. Instead I tilt and die 50x to the first skeleton near the bonfire :p

I think the runback is important. When you instantly spawn back in the fight you’re basically banging your head on the boss with zero pressure until you beat it. But with the runback in darksouls you’re forced to reset after each failed attempt and fight your way back. It makes boss fights feel more like boss fights in my opinion because there is that pressure of being sent back to the bonfire if you make a mistake against this powerful enemy.

I think its fine for a player new to the series but you’ve got to the type of person that is willing to learn and willing to die over and over. For people who play these kinds of games its not insane to expect them to pick it up.

I dont think there is any conversation to be had about an easy mode or boss runbacks. Any time this small dev team spends on an easy mode is time wasted IMO.
If its to hard you can play another game. I see this the same as people demanding a complex movie be changed to be easier to understand. Its just a dumb complaint and im sick of seeing these people flood every comment section of every slightly challenging game.

Before covid there was a lot of inservice work that you tipped for. During covid it became a lot more digital and the tipping didnt go away so everyone realised its bullshit and stopped tipping. Once tipping culture starts infecting digital transactions you got to stop it before it infects everything.

If the wage you’re offered is to low dont take it. Its really that simple. Dont take the job then expect the customers to make up the difference its greedy.
