I was surprised to see one growing unbothered on a sidewalk in Réunion island. I immediately recognized it cause I had looked it up days before after reading about it in the book Earth’s Children. I checked and it seemed to be Datura Metel. Afaik not the best pick if you want to talk to your DNA memory ancestors, Altair-style.

Halo4 is really weird. Forerunner design became all busy and plastickey (the plastic aspect is due to the material/shader and the business comes from stark changes in the design language). The new enemies are not interesting in terms of behaviour and the new weapons are literally the old ones with a slightly different appearance. Also for some reason the game starves you of ammo and weapons dropped to the ground disappear after a few seconds, which makes legendary… a legendary slog.
Yet they did something really cool with Cortana and Chief. But that’s not nearly enough for me to ever want to replay it again, which is a terrible thing to say about a Halo game…
In co-op though it must be fun, I never tried

Wikipedia’s english language article on the subject links to a BBC article from 2017 by Stephen McDonnell, their China correspondent. He has his own Wikipedia article. I’m not seeing that, pedophilia is a condition and the user was responding in earnest to a comment asking “why?”. I personally would not conflate this with defending child molesters

Happy new year. Loved Subnautica, it helped me get past my thalassophobia. I also got into freediving at roughly the same time (around 2017 if my memory serves right). Fantastic experience, one of the most impactful in my gaming journey. Have a good one
