You don’t have to sue anyone. You can ask the offenders to correct their website and if they don’t, give a notice to the data protection authority in your country and they will handle it from there.

Little known fact, it’s illegal to hide the option to reject cookies behind multiple clicks.
- Comment on Where Winds Meet players are tricking AI-powered NPCs into giving them rewards by using the 'Solid Snake method' 1 week ago:
I’m playing Where Winds Meet and imo the chatbots are one of the weakest points of the game. You are told it’s a bot, it feels like one, and as there is still a rigid game around this interaction, it’s essentially just a weird romancing minigame. The only reason I engage with this system is because it can be easily cheated. Nothing of value would be lost if this feature was entirely cut from the game.

From the Steam page:
BE WARNED: This game is for players who already master the challenge of My Summer Car. Definitely not recommended for any player not familiar with the original installment.
Very interesting, I really like that approach. However even the first game looks like you need to know a lot about cars beforehand (feel free to correct me on that). Let’s hope enough people will buy it.
- Comment on Settings you believe ANY game should have? (This is me advocating for a restart/reboot button on ALL games) 2 weeks ago:
Okay you can now control the shadow casting behavior of every single entity in the game individually. Happy?
- Comment on Indie game developers have a new sales pitch: being ‘AI free’ 2 weeks ago:
I would primarily understand it as being free of generative AI (picture and sound), which is what is most obvious when actually playing a game. I’m personally not against using LLMs for coding if you actually know what you’re doing and properly review the output. However at that point most will come to the conclusion that you could write the code manually anyways and probably save time.

How long does it take from what? We don’t hibernate or reboot, what do you mean?

That is my observation too. Money is no longer the end goal, it’s now the means for unlimited power play with the general society.

Man I’m still kinda bummed they disbanded right before I would’ve had the chance to see them live. I had my tickets for almost a year I think.

MAGA is a group of people in the US. This phenomenon however is worldwide, and nobody in other countries is going to use a US reference for it.

The release window for Arc Raiders could not be worse. Right between Battlefield 6 and Tarkov 1.0. Also a few weeks ago Arena Breakout Infinite released, which is also a very competent extraction shooter, that I had lots of fun with before Bf6.
This activity is a good sign for Arc Raiders, however it’s only a free playtest while the full release will cost 40€. How many of those players enjoying it now will actually cough up this much money for a game in a genre with many failed games before it? Dark and Darker was hugely popular during its last playtest and rapidly declined after the paid (Early Access) release.
I hope that they’re successful with Arc Raiders. I think the extraction genre is super interesting and needs more healthy choices that are not Tarkov (which has so many problems of its own).

This makes me sick. I don’t think I will ever be able to understand why people would do this. There is so much violence in this world. It’s absurd how we just force ourselves to accept it and go about our day. And what else are you gonna do? We can’t stop it, nobody can. It’s all rotten, and I’m scared that things are just gonna keep getting worse.
- Comment on How We're Redesigning Audacity For The Future 2 months ago:
It looks like they’re putting in a great amount of thinking to modernize Audacity, while trying to stay true to what made it so popular in the first place. I’m very impressed and would love to see some of these approaches in my own job as a software dev.

That’s not what they said.
- Comment on 10 years later, no one has replicated Rocket League's mojo 5 months ago:
Rematch hasn’t released yet, but a few public playtests happened. While there are some strong similarities to Rocket League like controlling a single player, the walled arena and having a form of boost, it’s still very different and hasn’t yet given me the same thrill.
Rematch does not have the verticality, and so it’s missing a whole dimension (and multiple degrees of freedom) of skill expression. The arena is significantly larger, as it’s built for more players, which results in a much slower game. It has the potential to be a very solid new esports game, however I can’t see it pulling away many players from Rocket League.

It’s a trend in road cycling at least. You completely degrease the chain and then dip it in a special hot wax. Apparently it lasts longer than oil and doesn’t attract dirt.
- Comment on Fuck cars 6 months ago:
I do have to oil the chain on my bike every now and then though. (I know about waxing, haven’t made the jump yet)
