They abandoned steam for a payout from Epic, at this point it’s expected that there’s incentive to promote their partner / owner.

They could’ve done something about smurfs, griefing, or the terrible chat filter. Instead Psyonix brings updates that nobody asked for.

EAC has cut down not usage, at least it seems that way to me. Engine update has been a community want for a while.
