- Comment on Do you use your blinker in a car? 1 day ago:
Very much this.
I was hoping to imply that with the phrase “road users” but I wasn’t explicit about it.
Cyclists too. If you can’t keep a cyclist safe you shouldn’t be allowed in a car.

- Comment on Do you use your blinker in a car? 1 day ago:
Yes. Don’t listen to people who tell you not to.
The indicator is for communicating your intent to change the position (which lane you’re in) or direction (turning in or out of a road, parking space, etc.) of your car.
The safest thing you can do as a driver is to be PREDICTABLE to other drivers. The indicator communicates necessary information for other drivers to predict your actions.
Not using one when changing the position or direction of your car is inconsiderate and dangerous to other road users. It is also illegal.
Use them. Please.

You mean to tell me that not bashing children’s heads against a rock is a uniquely christian value.
- Comment on It's a sin in Christianity to consume media based on ancient mythology and folklore? 3 days ago:
You, specifically, possibly. I don’t know you and I certainly don’t care who “your people” are. But if you rely on a sky fairy to tell you it’s bad to bludgeon children to death rather than having basic compassion to tell you, signs aren’t good for you. All you’d need is for a charismatic sociopath to tell you the magic cloud genie changed its mind and then it’s all of our brains bashed in. History has proven that.

And this is why religions are so dangerous and terrifying right here.
If you can’t answer that question on your own, you are frightening.
- Comment on It's a sin in Christianity to consume media based on ancient mythology and folklore? 3 days ago:
Sin is defined is an act in defiance of god. There is no god to defy.
Your question presumes that harm can only come from sin. That presumption is nonsensical in the absence of a god.
- Comment on It's a sin in Christianity to consume media based on ancient mythology and folklore? 4 days ago:
Sin is a myth. There is no god to judge you.
Consider the harm your actions and beliefs cause. The rest is bullshit.
- Comment on Good ol' Reddit, at it again (and again, and again, and...). 4 days ago:
I think it’s a bullshit rule, myself.
But it is an clearly-stated rule.
The real question is how many accounts you want to throw at it, because if you ask me, in for a penny in for a pound.
And it is morally correct to harass elon.

- Comment on How likely is it that Trump will be the first President assassinated since Kennedy? 5 days ago:
It’s important to note that even in that scenario, he’s limited to a total of 10 years. If he would take over from a VP position, he could exceed 10 total years as POTUS.
Whatever “limited” means in the current state of things is another question.
- Comment on How likely is it that Trump will be the first President assassinated since Kennedy? 5 days ago:
If we’re being real, it’s not likely at all. He’s probably safer than Biden was.
Not only does the secret service impose incredibly tight security (not perfect, mind you), but Trump doesn’t go anywhere except the White House and his shithole golf course.
In order to assassinate him, it would probably have to be an inside job. That seems exceptionally unlikely.

Is he good enough to be a coach? Or a trainer? Or work in sports tech? Media?
Maybe he can find a way to be invoked without being locked in on being a player on the field at the top level. If what he loves is the game, he can be a part of making the game better or safer or reach more people.

Incontinence isn’t much of a put-down at this point. Trump has literally been in diapers for over a decade.

- Comment on Why don’t brands make simpler names? 2 weeks ago:
PC component makers used to. They found it hard to swindle people into buying what was most profitable over what was best performing, so they deliberately made their naming schemes incomprehensible.

I have the RIGHT to freedom of speech and expression and I will not waive it for Trump or anyone else. Without it, there is no United States.
Fuck Donald Trump. Fuck Elon Musk. Fuck the Republicans. Fuck the oligarchy. Fuck authoritarianism. Fuck this fear, and fuck advance compliance.

Because you are not the main character of the universe.
You will leave behind consequences for your actions. The consequences of the actions of others gave you the world you have lived in, as will the consequences of your shape the world of the future.
There is nothing after death and we all know that, so all there’s left to plan for after you die is the legacy of what you did while you were here.
Speaking for me, I value the idea that the consequences of my life wind up being more positive than negative for future generations. I also value feeling like I’ve changed things for the better now, and so when I have a platform or any influence I aim for that.
If you don’t care about any of that, please seek counseling. The rest of us will be better off with fewer narcissists.
