They know that the reality is they could never truly defend themselves if the tide turned. I have a theory that the reason they are ramping up so rapidly now is they see the writing on the wall and are behaving like a cornered animal. They’ve already done too much to be forgiven so the only option is to accelerate their end goal even though its clearly undercooked.
The smartest thing they can do is to nationalize their companies into any applicable public utilities. Liquidate the rest and set up some sort of charitable trust or some nonprofit that will help sort funds into various social programs.
Then slink off and live off the wealth they stole. Bar them and their family from starting new business endeavors for 100 years.

I know this is the sad reality at most companies but when I put someone on a PIP I 100% expect them to improve and recover from whatever got them in the PIP.

I’m gonna read this in the most charitable way cause I’m sure it was a joke. But the bar one must hurdle to address an addiction is infinitely harder than anything mentioned in the image. And then once a person is sober that bar needs to be cleared daily for a long time till it starts to get easier.
So yeah its a funny joke, but just in case you were being a smart ass, it’s not easy to get sober.

I agree that would be weird. Difference is a person is holding their phone throughout the day. Its not a good comparison cause the behavior of standing by the front door waiting for it to knock is unusual behavior.

Its literally so easy most of the time. Once or twice a year something comes out that I really want to use / play. Its the two times per year I “suffer.”. The rest is stuff I probably would have tried and played but its now so far off my radar they’ll never see a cent again (unless of course there is a major overhaul in whatever co’s business model; happy to return with a change).

What is especially frustrating is how quickly these corporations would fold under pressure. Take a principled position for 1 week and watch what happens.

Difficult sliders are simply bad for certain games, soulsborne games are one of them.
You are also robbing your own experience BTW. Give yourself a fair shot at beating these games without taking the easy route.

Idk if soul players need to learn anything. Not your style of game thats fine, but all fights in souls games are fair in the sense that anyone can eventually beat it with practice, or overleveling, or innate skill (those who have, ahem, gotten good), and any combination of the three.
Have known a lot of people who played dark souls at a time in their life where they needed the lesson of getting up after getting knocked down.

I’ll be patient most of the time, but this isn’t a one way street. The other person should also have situational awareness to make room, not block the entire path, not jackknife their cart. Also my desire to go fast is equally as valid as their desire to meander / dilly dally. As long as I’m not running them over there is nothing wrong with shopping at my pace, saying excuse me, or passing them when they are taking too long.

I don’t disagree with you but I also have to assume there are contracts / stipulations in place that prevent a publisher from doing this after sony/microslop/Nintendo agree to sell digital / physical copies if your game.
