Yes and no. Bugs can be enshrined into core architecture where fixing bugs causes breaking changes.
Clearly their game engine is showing its age and needs some redesign. They are reaching the limits of what they can do within the current architecture.

Golang is 16 years old and rust is 14 years old.
Why do people use them? Why do developers prefer C or Python? Because they like them.
Go has a good niche of native + performance for systems programming. It’s still more abstract than C, but much less than Python. It’s a good middle ground. It’s not JIT like C# or Java.
Rust is just as fast as C, allows lower level programming that you could do with C. Rusts big advantage is that its memory safe (unless you use unsafe). That eliminates a very common C bug.

One could argue that ray tracing is the current item, but unfortunately no one has been able to truly maximize the quality or performance…
Cp2077 with the godlike ray tracing does look really good, but requires a ridiculous setup to see it.
I would also suggest frame gen or scaling as another new improvement. Being able to basically realtime render a lower resolution and scale it (non-ML based) is an incredible engineering feat.
Frame gen does have a (small) place as well. There are legitimate reasons to use it to improve performance. With dedicated hardware it becomes an easy way to improve FPS (some) on lower end hardware.
2015-present may not have had such tectonic shifts, but in a lot of ways, we can now do more with less and fine tune an experience we enjoy.

It’s a missing driver issue, the driver is there and working, Mac just disables the audio slider.
My comment was about how Mac departs from the standard that other systems implement. It’s 2026, it’s not crazy to think that they should standardize on what windows and Linux uses

Hard disagree. I just started using Mac at my new job.
Why are all the hot keys wrong? Windows and Linux have fairly similar basic hot keys.
They both scroll the correct direction out of the box.
MacOS has decided my usb DAC doesn’t have volume adjust. Plug and play on windows and Linux.

Even from a capitalist perspective, this is such a waste.
If they had done this earlier, they could have better allocated the team working more on the Xbox version than wasting their time, money, and passion on something that won’t see the light of day.

It’s super easy, undo some screws, pop the back, unscrew SSD, move the EMF shield to the new one, pop it in and then reverse the process.

Interesting enough for me, the Hersey bars taste like vomit and are inedible to me, but kisses are mostly fine. If I really focus on th kisses flavor, I can still taste the vomit taste, but it’s like 95% less.
