Going private? Sounds good, less pressure from shareholders… Selling to the Saudis? Hell no! Good thing I was already boycotting them anyway
- Comment on Charlie Kirk in his own words. 11 hours ago:
But there is a difference between thinking you broke the law and thinking you did wrong. I am saying the latter does not necessarily happen in criminals
- Comment on Charlie Kirk in his own words. 17 hours ago:
Every criminal knows they doing wrong, that’s why they try to hide it.
That’s also not really true. They can very well believe, that what they do is okay but they know that the law says otherwise. They hide because they want to avoid punishment, not because they feel that what they do is wrong (From their point of view)
- Comment on Silent Hill f | Review Thread 3 days ago:
yep, that’ll either be a key (starting at 40€ currently) or a late buy for me. No way I’m paying 80 bucks for that
- Comment on Silent Hill f | Review Thread 3 days ago:
I usually just assume, that the scale starts at 5, that gives a good idea about the quality of the game
- Comment on Why do some gamers invert their controls? Scientists now have answers, but they’re not what you think 6 days ago:
Yeah and trackpads are basically remote touchscreens
- Comment on Trenches is a VR Horror game I made by myself and it's coming out to Playstation, Meta Quest and Steam on October 22! Please check it out and share your feedback! :) 1 week ago:
This looks really cool. But I wouldn’t show so much of the monster in the trailer. The first time was especially bad, the second time the best was if you want to show it at all.

With a mouse, yes. With a trackpad? No
- Comment on Let me treat you to ice cream 1 week ago:
Okay, while that was disturbing to see… I for sure thought that was about the guy that turns tree into icecream and eats it out of a bowl made from the same tree

Lol, great idea. Let’s see if they can make it as good as Vampire Survivors (which was clearly the inspiration)
- Comment on Uh Oh: Nintendo Just Landed A ‘Summoning’ And ‘Battling’ Patent 2 weeks ago:
What damage? Its been known for years what a scummy company Nintendo is and people still buy their games and consoles in the millions. The fans will just say that Nintendo is in the right and move on
- Comment on Sexualized video games are not causing harm to male or female players, according to new research 2 weeks ago:
You mean constantly displaying sexuality as evil and interest in it as sinful leads to a unhealthy sexuality? Say it ain’t so

It actually had Denuvo removed in August it seems

Yeah, exactly my thought. Who hires these people?
- Comment on AI industry horrified to face largest copyright class action ever certified 1 month ago:
I honestly see much less of an issue with using scraped content if there is no profit motivation behind it. The main thing is, that all that scraping and training costs a fuckton of money, so no open source nonprofit model will be able to do that
- Comment on What are your experiences using Linux for gaming? 1 month ago:
As long as it is Steam it basically works seamlessly, unless it uses some weird ass DRM like Denuvo. Outside of that it basically depends on the game. Diablo 4 worked well, Anno 1800 or the new Anno 117 Demo did not (Denuvo, I think). Lutris helps witha lot of these but it’s still not sure
- Comment on Netflix’s first show with generative AI is a sign of what’s to come in TV, film 2 months ago:
Not to mention they only had to spend billions to develop and train the model instead of paying people a living wage

Do you teach this usually? These explanations seem very practiced (in a good way).
Thanks a lot, maybe this will help me sound at least somewhat casual :D
- Comment on Crunchyroll accidentally confirmed it uses ChatGPT for subtitles 2 months ago:
Fascinating. That explains the similarity. Since watching that episode of Witch Watch I definitely feel bad about my formal “Duolingo” Japanese :D

Thanks for the feedback, seems my efforts weren’t entirely wasted :D Interesting, that the Kanji for water itself does not contain that rqficale (unless you squint heavily) What’s the difference to Ikkimashou? Isn’t that the suggestive form? As in ‘we should go’

君
As someone who learns japanese. Is that a kanji for a honorific? probably kun? ゆうじ is the name, although weird that it is written in hiragana I guess… But I fail at this one 海行こうぜ
The first Kanji has the one for mother as part of it I think… And the second one is pronounced it ‘i’ so …iikouze ?

- Comment on YouTube relaxes moderation rules to allow more controversial content 3 months ago:
It does not, because demonetized content is also no longer pushed by the algorithm. Since the right wing stuff still gets pushed to the front page and recommendations, it p4obably eid not get demonetized
- Comment on YouTube relaxes moderation rules to allow more controversial content 3 months ago:
I feel like the issue people her take with this is rather “great, even more Nazi content” then “I want censorship”. YouTube already has an issue with demonetizing content it deems risky for its ad business, like curse words or the mention of violence while allowing inflammatory content that drives engagement
