  I was only saying the other day, after having all playstations since a PSOne, that I reckon the wind I blowing against the consumer and that the PS5 (disc version) would be my last playstation console. Unfortunately it turns out I was right, it’s a sad day for gamers. 😮‍💨

  As I mentioned above, whilst not standard, yes there were titles that could be played without updates.

  And there were ps5 discs that did this. I played Astrobot for a month with no downloads or updates.!

  I agree it wasn’t the norm, but it was possible.

  I had games brought for me, but the first game I brought was GTA III (cos my parents refused to buy it for me)

  I 100% agree. Apple was just an example. You could insert Microsoft, Google, Meta,…

  They’re all as bad as each other.

  My point is CEO says bad things and is a bigot, isn’t as bad as the harm some of these other big entities are doing.

  Well I’d argue that with the changes to Manifest, Brave is actually one of your stronger options if chrome is a must have.

  If you don’t need chrome, Firefox (or a fork) with ublock is enough for most.

  I couldn’t agree more, for me LibreWolf is my preferred, but with work, or syncing or compatibility brave just provides are good out of box experience. Is the crypto stuff garbage,? Yeah but breaking news, you can turn that stuff off.

  Is the CEO a douche, yeah but most CEOs are.

  I also find it ironic that ppl get on thier high horse, going this company said something that’s bad, which they post from thier iphone/macbook, which was built though child labour, modern slavery and worker suicides, by a company which actively has anti consumer practices. But they hit thier limit at “brave browser CEO said bad thing”.
