Wow, never heard of this. I watched the video and now I really want to know more. Is this considered legendary because it ended up being better than it had any right to be? That was the vibe I got. I went in expecting it to just be “lol Denny’s”, but it felt like more than that. I’m just curious about the legacy here.

You’re offended by an air quality alert’s recommendation to limit outdoor activity?
How dare they tell me what to do.
Oh actually, that’s where they messed up. You see, that message was for everyone else. If they could have sent you a personalized one it would have recommended you go outside and huff all the wildfire air until you die of smoke inhalation you smug cunt.

I have been experiencing this very same thing for a while but never knew quite how to put it into words. Do you find yourself forgetting words? Like it’s on the top of your tongue? That happens to me a lot. I think my ADHD medication has been masking how tired I am all the time.
I’m going to give a more optimistic suggestion. Have you considered you may have sleep apnea? I have been single for over 10 years but recently had a brief relationship where we stayed overnight a lot. She told me I snore really loudly if I’m on my back. She said it’s like I’m gasping for air.
I haven’t looked into it yet but I really need to. It could just be that you aren’t getting good sleep, regardless of how many hours you get.

I’m still extremely sour about having one in my cart within 30 seconds of the page going live but the checkout process just failing.
- Comment on Carwful who you judge 1 month ago:
Same. I’ll take a stab at it without doing any research.
I’m guessing Clavicular is a person, perhaps an influencer. I believe the implication is that the old crone he rated as a 4/10 was a witch who cursed him to wake up without a jaw because that would be ironic given his name.
How’d I do?
- Comment on Day 678 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing 2 months ago:
Just finished it again the other day playing via Dusklight. I agree, I have a lot of complaints, but somehow it still hits pretty good. I think it feels a lot more like a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. If I played them out of order and you told me Wind Waker came out first I wouldn’t believe you.

I have a touch of the stupid. Is the implication that the mother ate half of it, or that something else did and she continued protecting it despite it being dead?
- Comment on Why are dads like this? 2 months ago:
Possibly, but there’s a weird line across his shirt too in the same place. It reminds me of a bad panorama but that wouldn’t make sense here since it’s vertical.

Serious question: is this as big of a deal with lesbians as it would be for gay men?
- Comment on Jurassic Park With Accurate T Rex And Sound 3 months ago:
If I remember correctly this came out of a study that tried to recreate dinosaur vocalizations as accurately as possible. They looked at skull shapes and by looking at birds and other animals tried to approximate how and where sounds would reverberate. Or something like that. There are YouTube videos of all the different species and they explain the process a lot better than I did. There’s obviously a lot of guess work involved and it’s probably only vaguely close, but still cool!

- Comment on Star Wars: Fate Of The Old Republic - Official Announcement Trailer | The Game Awards 2025 6 months ago:
Am I the only person who doesn’t give a damn about cinematic trailers for games? I get that they’re supposed to build hype, but if it doesn’t show any gameplay I just don’t care.
I can understand if the release is far off and there’s probably only buggy alpha footage, but this complaint extends to games that are out. During the recent Steam sale there were several times I was checking out a game and the only videos on the store page were cinematics with no gameplay.
Okay, rant over.

I remember hearing that too. There was a rumor from the production staff that almost all the producers were talking about on set was their next project.

- Comment on Scifi question about time travel: 1 year ago:
I’m more of an Emergent Time theory guy. The others are cool for sci-fi and stuff but I just can’t conceive of that being how it works.
Closed Loop Theory seems like too cheeky of an explanation. It’s basically a bait and switch. Like: “What if you did thing? But then DIDN’T do thing!” with the answer being “actually you did but just later”. To be fair though isn’t the theory really just saying the universe will correct itself somehow?

I’ve read your message and the OPs like 5 times and I still have no idea what is being described… I might be stupid.
Could it be restated to say he gets the numbers from his future self but then 30 years later just forgets to do the same thing for his past self?
