If you’ve eaten figs you’ve probably eaten thousands of fig wasps and larvae

I feel the same about 2007, and 1999.

I think this is due to the exact opposite happening for a lot of Millenials. University was touted as the only option, and a lot of people went and got degrees in things that didn’t make them employable. At the same time the trades were downplayed. This has bred a lot of resentment of any university degree, as a lot of people see theirs as a failure that may have crippled their finances/lives.

Piano. Yes it’s a difficult instrument to master, but I can teach a 4 year old to play Mary Had a Little Lamb
- Comment on Is it possible to make wireless charging broadcast electricity throught an entire house similar to how wifi can broadcast to the entire house? 1 month ago:
This was what Tesla Coils did. They allowed for the wireless transmission of power. It was Tesla’s utopian dream to provide free power to all.

I think you mean “Monopoly baby!”, or are Visa/Mastercard not using their dominant market position to dictate what can and cannot be purchased?

- Comment on Would you take a short term job(1-2 months) over a local longer term that makes nearly 8months worth of salary?? 2 months ago:
It’s contracting. The trick is to have something else lined up after. You make a lot but you have to actively keep yourself employed and trained.

- Comment on What's the best way to respond to a family member who says the COVID vaccines are being used to depopulate? 2 months ago:
Tell them that you’re a sheeple, and got the safe dose of the vaccine, since they want to keep the compliant people around. Too bad they’re on “the list”.
- Comment on Does anyone use a phone without a protective case? 3 months ago:
I use a $5 thin silicone case. Just enough to cushion the blow. I haven’t broken any phones, but I drop them a lot.

Do you think that Project 2025 isn’t what a bunch of conservatives want? It didn’t just come from one person. A bunch of people wanted to vote for this.

You know that there’s shops all over the place who will fix cells in bad packs? Replacing the whole battery is FUD similar to warning someone they need to replace their whole engine if there’s any issue.
- Comment on Owing your home today is nearly impossible, but even if you did the ever increasing property taxes will bury you 6 months ago:
Property tax rates are based on how much your city/county needs to operate. Property values change, but so do mill rates. Most cities aren’t allowed to take surplus tax, so they tweak the mill rate when property values fluctuate.
