On a first date i’d also avoid the past. Even without being traumatic your past has some privacy. For some it’s more private than others. But it’s never the goal of a first encounter.

Hopefully a “sign” of mental illness in this scenario is lowkey because it’s not due to a mental illness.
It can be from anxiety or just being very introverted. Which can be hard to deal with but still somewhat lowkey to a mental illness.

In what cafes and sandwich shop to you go to? I’ve never seen one that was closed during launch hours.
It’s getting rarer but their is some that only open in launch hours instead of the whole afternoon, restaurant can have some specific services hours, and some cafes stop serving drinks while serving food.
French culture is to eat at specific hours, so it would be almost impossible to serve food only outside those.

Elitist entail their is a technical reason behind it, otherwise it’s just gatekeeping.
In music it can be some music theory, prodigious playing, complex sound design etc…
I did fall a bit into this idea of elitism too at first. It’s easy when you are just starting to educate yourself and only see the technique.
But then at some point you gotta start having opinions and preferences that goes beyond rationality, or your not really enjoying an art form.
You can still be a bit elitist, but then it’s only personal and you stop gatekeeping.

More importantly you going to therapy and improving yourself the way you described it, that in itself is sincerely the best exemple we can show an alien, ever.

Food gives you energy after your body process it.
If you want quick energy take a sugary snack, but don’t expect it to last.
If you want energy for the day take a full meal, but then you need some chilling time for your body to digest.
Such are the trades of life my friend.
