Fuck that- I had to run away from home at 16- never graduated high school, never graduated college.
I’m a senior software engineer now. Just make sure you can do the work, make sure you can teach yourself anything. Fight and advocate for yourself, not all of us were dealt good cards in life.

I think part of it is being extra defensive considering our tankie neighbors… I don’t have any issues with the people of China, the culture of China, etc, etc.
I’ve always thought that everyone was on the same page about China’s oppressive government, but now it feels like it needs to be said, as there are people actively arguing in its favor.

I think there’s also something to be said for the 80/20 effect: 80% of the content you see is created by 20% of the user base. Not sure if this is actually true, citation definitionally needed, but I suspect a lot of Internet communities work this way, with a loud (and usually mentally unstable) chronically online minority

Newer games simply switch active input devices on the fly by using the input scheme of the last pressed button. For example, if you’re using WASD but then press A on an Xbox controller, the engine automatically and quickly switches to that input
