Joysticks still drifting is an embarrassment.
- Comment on The Outer Worlds 2 - Official Story Trailer | Xbox Games Showcase 2025 1 week ago:
Well, time and a sale it is, then.
- Comment on $80 for Borderlands 4 too costly? Randy Pitchford says, "If you're a real fan, you'll find a way to make it happen" 3 weeks ago:
I guess me and my several thousand borderlands hours are not a real fan then? The games weren’t worth $80 even when they came with goodies. They’re not worth $80 without the goodies. I’ll just wait for a sale.
- Comment on What are some good examples of "Where the fuck do you go" kind of games? 1 month ago:
True, but the problem (at least for me) is that I was simultaneously going nowhere and running out of places to go. I legit wasn’t sure how to progress literally any of the opened quests and felt like nothing was getting done.
- Comment on Reminder if you're leaving Discord for this Revolt server ( Linux + Steam Deck devs / creators) 1 month ago:
Reasonable, but you’d be fooling yourself to act as if forums will meaningfully replace Discord for most users.
- Comment on What is this called? 1 month ago:
I really want a poncho/ruana style thing to wear casually, but I just cannot seem to find one with a style that really tickles my fancy. I’ll wrap random blankets around me shawl sans brooch style, but they’re not really the style I’d want to go wear out and about.
- Comment on Nintendo Maintains Nintendo Switch 2 Pricing, Retail Pre-Orders to Begin April 24 in U.S. 1 month ago:
I’m normally at least moderately excited for nintendo’s release lineup. This time, though… it’s neat I guess?
- Comment on What's a cancelled game you really miss? 1 month ago:
Breach. An asymmetric game of 5 v 1 with the 5 heroes working through a dungeon crawl while the 1 enemy sets traps or controls random AI characters.
- Comment on So this is it, is trump god? Will Republicans sacrifice their own well being to own the libs? 2 months ago:
They already have.
- Comment on First-party Switch 2 games—including re-releases—all run either $70 or $80 2 months ago:
Yes, inflation happened, and purchasing power has not grown or stayed the same with it. People can’t afford as much, so rising prices on entertainment are going to sting even more.
- Comment on Silent Hill f has been banned in Australia, and no one knows why 2 months ago:
Oh wow I rarely find people who know about When They Cry. Now I’m interested in seeing more about the game.
- Comment on How do the Republicans feel about Project 2025 now? 2 months ago:
He thinks the president should hire/fire anyone they want, but they dislike the people the president has been choosing.
- Comment on How likely is the US government going to identify and arrest every online user who have disagreed with the current administration? 2 months ago:
All? Unlikely. But some? A lot harder to say. You’re asking for an opinion-based prediction at this point. I think they’ll probably eventually try to get the most outspoken critics, but I also think that’s a good time to not go silent. You get organized.
- Comment on Your all-time favorite game? Let's discuss the best options! 2 months ago:
Based on play and replay, it seems to be either Payday 2 or Borderlands 2.
Payday2, especially if you have tons of builds and DLC, is a fantastic brain-off mob shooter where you can slightly improve/perfect your build and gameplay with each run. For some reason it just works for me.
Borderlands 2: fun guns; solid story; visuals and mechanics that mostly hold up today. It’s just a good time and another skill-tree builder game where you get to feel like a god if you’ve assembled your skill tree right. The NG+ modes are a bit of a slog, but playthrough 1 is just a solid time.
- Comment on This is also when I conveniently forget you called, making your preferred method of communication incredibly slow compared to texting. 3 months ago:
Yeah, they are lucky to have me. Instant access to me via phonecall is not one of the reasons, but that’s fine because they don’t need instant access via phonecall.
- Comment on Dauntless is shutting down on May 29, 2025 3 months ago:
Aw. I get why this happens to games, but it’s still sad to see.
- Comment on Sooo, where did the blatant Nazism suddenly come from? 3 months ago:
It’s been fairly blatant for a while now. Theseig heil is coming out now that they feel they’ve won. The goal is for the US to fall this time.
- Comment on [deleted] 3 months ago:
It’s honestly fairly level headed for anyone. Make sure your loved ones aren’t making dramatic and life-altering changes without being sure they want it? Seems reasonable to me. Especially for a topic that is largely a muddled mystery for the average person.
- Comment on Dinner bell is going off 3 months ago:
Occasionally my partner will do that too. I’ve had it happen to me, like, twice.
- Comment on Why do some people assume all immigrants are illegal and should "go back to where they came from"? Shouldn't that logic apply to all non-Native Americans? 4 months ago:
Short answer is “propaganda”. News agencies against immigration will pretty regularly swap between “illegal immigrants”, “immigrants”, and <insert current target race here> as if they’re practically interchangable to build whatever narrative they want, and also to slowly build an association between ‘people of <insert race>’, ‘being a drain on society’, and ‘being here illegally’ to get the average person to side with them.
- Comment on Is anyone planning on doing anything about trump creating a concentration camp at guantanamo bay? 4 months ago:
2 years to maybe do something, 4 years maybe to maybe do something better.
- Comment on Ubisoft announces studio closure as it lays off 185 staff 4 months ago:
I think the big “issue” is that there’s a notable lag between loss of goodwill and loss of income/profit/value, and there’s an even bigger lag between trying to fix goodwill and returns on that. It makes it too hard for any profit-first company to get right.
- Comment on After the catastrophe of Concord Sony is reportedly cancelling other projects including a God of War live service game 4 months ago:
Platformers.
- Comment on Why do AI bros and other staunch AI defenders seem happy about the potential of killing off the creative industries? 5 months ago:
I think this is the big contention point. In a world without a need for jobs, AI would be a neat alternative method of art generation, and a fascinating advancement of technology as a whole…
but UBI is not yet real and jobs still need to be had. Without some form of life-securement for those who provided the art to be trained off of, we’re just using tech to really fuck people over. It’s definitely a moral grey area - very dark grey.
- Comment on Anon doesn't wash 5 months ago:
I was going to mention not washing your chicken, but the comments nail it. Don’t wash your chicken, the bacteria just spreads around your kitchen.

- Comment on Is there anything Lemmy has more/better content for than Reddit and other mainstream sites? 5 months ago:
I feel you, man. Like, I appreciate what Linux is for, but the Linux content here is extremely blind to the average user’s use-case. It makes it hard to take suggestions and input seriously.
- Comment on TRIBES: The Most Influential FPS You (Probably) Never Played [video essay 52:59] 5 months ago:
More likely it’s just an older game now with less popularity, and they expect their viewers to be the younger-ish crowd.
- Comment on Do you want the murderer of the UnitHealthcare CEO prosecuted? 6 months ago:
I agree with your premise, but we’re in a really fucked civilization right now where there’s a class of “elite” people who can make decisions that negatively affect the literal lives of millions without worry. We’re not in a fair or stable civilization right now, which is why so many people are on team “nah I hope this guy gets away with it”.
