lol fuck thag noise, literally.
Unsolder the piezo.Pro tip: Since it obviously has wifi or something, it has an FCC id printed somewhere (probably next to the model/serial number).
Search the fccid.io website for that number and there’ll be photos of its insides which can help you figure out how to open it, know where the piezo is likely to be, and neuter that loud fucker.
I’ve done a kettle that would beep 80ish dBA everytime it started, it was done, or when you put it back in the base.Obviously, unplug it from mains before opening. Insert all applicable disclaimers about not burning down your house or maiming yourself.

It’s also bullshit, because Windows 10 LTSC IoT is supported through 2032 or something.

What they mean is they don’t have to do layoffs to please some publisher’s exec, they have the luxure of doing these layoffs for their own greed.

- Comment on Feeling insecure about going to a 'girlie pop' concert as a 30 year old man, am i overthinking it? 2 months ago:
Don’t overthink it, have fun, bring good earplugs.
No seriously, there are plugs meant for shows, designed to not butcher it too much, merely attenuate it all a bit.
First, you’ll avoid tinnitus.
Second, it blocks out quite a bit of the other show-goers background noise. - Comment on Yeasty 2 months ago:
With the heat from the sun hitting the dumpster too, hmm. That might actually be how they make theirs down the road.

Ghost licensing is predatory.
It’s easier to just wait until the ghost can be published in the public domain.
Blame Disney. - Comment on How would I pop a bag of popcorn on the microwave? 3 months ago:
If you have a microwave, follow the instructions in the bag.
I don’t have a glass lid
I’ve used a dinner plate as a lid in a pinch.
Careful it might get hot. - Comment on How do you charge an electric car without a credit card? 4 months ago:
Yes, absolutely. Fuck the stuff you get at stores checkout.
I do mean something from a bank or union, it’s just instead of having a limit you can borrow from, you can prepay and do whatever transaction after.
Works fine for online places that only take credit.
You can usually get them even with shitty credit, because they’re not fronting you the money. - Comment on How do you charge an electric car without a credit card? 4 months ago:
You can still probably get a prepaid credit card…
You just have to pay it upfront before doing the transaction. - Comment on Anyone got any good military drama boxsets recommendations? other than BoB etc 4 months ago:
I know it’s not exactly military, but I remember the Flashpoint series as being pretty good back in the day.
It’s more SWAT than military though.

Might wanna read the sidebar on lemm.ee
It contains both the instance rules and a donation link.
You might need to use a browser if you’re using an application that doesn’t implement or render the sidebar. - Comment on Yes 4 months ago:

- Comment on [deleted] 6 months ago:
You gotta realize the person in the picture and the person doing the spamming is very unlikely to be the same person.
It’s either a pig butchering catfish scam, a harassment campaign, or a pain troll.

Maybe a joke at the expense of StackOverflow. That you would just need a downvote bot to simulate SO interaction, idk.

I can’t wrap my head around a service being so much shit but people still forking some cash to them.
I know for a company, $1000 is change but still.
$1000 for a glorified support ticket that gets auto-closed by some AI is fucking bullshit.
