Kelpie friend is doing much better today…fever going down. Still pretty wonky but on the mend. Wonder if they will find out more from the bloods? Hopefully it was just some virus and there’s nothing else going on

So the new nail polish colour I bought the other day, Revlon’s 023 Daredevil, and oh boy does it stain the nails lol. My right hands nails are now tinted a sickly greenish grey, reminiscent of Warcraft’s Forsaken colour aesthetic lol.
I think 029 Berry Bliss and 010 Marigold Maven also stain, but due to the colours it’s less noticeable than the green of 023.
I think I only have myself to blame anyway, I rarely use base coats; I just use polish remover, clean them, nail oil to soak for an hour, clean and then apply new polish. I now see the wisdom of a base coat yes lol

I’m hopeless with undercoat and top coat, hence why my nails never last more than a day or so.
Anytime I get sunshine on my current nails I’m absolutely hypnotised!

Here’s some interesting family history.
Rationalising some shit and found a tape of great gramps at the back of a draw. Bit of digging… turns out he made the first ever audio recording in Australia back in 1896 on an edison wax cylinder recorder.

His son (grandfather) donated the equipment and cylinders and was only re-discovered in the 80’s.
No one in fam knew that until I found the tape yesterday.
Ol’ boy reckons he still has a wax cylinder player in a cupboard somewhere 👀 Big if true.
Gonna digitise the tape and clean up the audio with modern software.

Wow! You should contact ACMI or the museum. Even though yours is a tape, it might have extras on it that the original doesn’t. Or there might be technicalities in preserving it or digitising. Great find!
