  It’s not stupidity, but arrogant selfishness. They know they’re in the wrong, but there’s so rarely ever any consequences for doing it that they just don’t care. “Me, me, me” is simply the American Way.

    so long as you know there are pricks who would park there from every country. this kind of asshole isn’t isolated to the US.

    I do admire countries that have better laws for dealing with these jerks tho.

      You also need effective enforcement. In my country in the EU people park in disavled spaces all the time because “it’s just for a minute”. Some even make counterfeit disability cards (you need to have a valid one displayed behind your windscreen). The fines for that are huge but the actual enforcement is non-existent.

  Intellectual Disability is a disability, but it’s really considered quite regressive to talk about it that way.
