i hate rounded corners

inspired by firefox 157. it’s time for me to vent my hate.

enough of this shit. enough rounded corners. enough “pills”. the tyranny of the pill-shaped element is killing my enthusiasm for the computer.

    I don’t know why frutgier-aero shit looked so appealing to me. It is 100% an aesthetic crime but it did make the endorphins go. I think I only like it based on the context of the memories

Bill Atkinson, creator of QuickDraw, also hated them. Steve Jobs made him a bet: I’ll take you to lunch and we’ll count all the square corners and all the rounded corners.

  lol real life barely anything is sharp. Even stuff made by humans you usually want to chamfer or bevel. Sharp shit hurts.

  those classic system software rounded corners were more tastefully done, like on buttons on dialog boxes. not on every literal visual element on the screen. >:(
