Better this way, every time someone walks towards Poland we have a new war.
Come Back!

The UK forgot their keys and had to walk back.

And Poland is just standing there… Menacingly!
TimeNaan@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Funny, but not ture. The standing man icon is for the red light, the walking one is for green in poland, just like everywhere else.

So, seems obvious the image would be on a sign on the side of the road adjacent to the direction of travel, showing the figure walking towards the road into traffIc.
Then there are those that are backwards…
Russia is fleeing the war they started, Ukraine is chasing them down, Belarus is running to lick Putin’s ass and Estonia is itching to kick Putin’s ass. Poland is standing defiantly in the middle guarding between Assholeland and the West.
Then the Irish guy is clearly just drunk and stumbling backwards into the road. I can relate.

Germans walking away from Poland just seems so wrong tho…
RojoSanIchiban@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Germans know how to learn from their mistakes ;)
Darkmuch@lemmy.world 8 months ago
That’s them returning after conquering Poland.

Norway’s seems the most casual. Everyone else (apart from Poland’s) looks they’re rushing, whereas Norway’s walker is just going for a stroll.

Need more polishing before everyone will come back.

I propose a petition to flip the Ukrainian sign to the left. I’d rather be walking towards Poland (peacefully)
LetterboxPancake@sh.itjust.works 8 months ago
Nah, rather keep an eye on those to the right. You don’t need to walk towards them, but I wouldn’t turn.

Correcting histories wrongs where everyone thought they had the right to walk into Poland.
sagrotan@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Looks kinda like England wants back into Europe. Hm…
dodgy_bagel@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 months ago
Nope, just some Troubles with the next island over
zik@lemmy.world 8 months ago
If you knew about Poland’s political situation you’d want to run too.

Inaccurate for (some of) Aarhus, Denmark. This is what some of our pedestrian crossing lights look like:Image www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vOjk2H_g9k&t=1

Germany also has a couple exceptions. The two that immediately come to mind are the Ampelmann (traffic light man) in Berlin and the Mainzelmännchen in Mainz.
tryptaminev@feddit.de 8 months ago
the Ampelmann is not just in Berlin. It was standard across all of the GDR, but then they thought a bland sticj figure is more representative of peoples identity in capitalism so now more and more lights inthe east also have that generic sign
Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 8 months ago
I love those too! ❤️

That’s it, I’m moving to Denmark!
someguy3@lemmy.world 8 months ago
I think that’s tpo loot and pillage.
Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Nah, we don’t do that anymore. Any looting done in today’s Denmark is the American way: multinational corporations and politicians pretending to be benevolent while being reverse Robin Hoods.
